I don't think you can apply for anything until you get married. That marriage license is the golden ticket for AOS and working papers. See what others say..

after 2 weeks upon entry: SSN. Then: Marriage license - wedding - marriage certificate - AOS including EAD and AP. EAD will come first, then green card, time depending on how backed up your local office is. The EAD is not a substitute of the green card, because the green card gives you residency, work permit, authorization to exit and reenter the US, while the EAD only gives you a work permit. Before you file for AOS, make sure to have a bunch of evidence that your marriage is real, such as joint bank account, joint lease, pics of the wedding with both sets of in-laws, etc. There is no cheaper or more expensive way: there is just one way, which costs $ 1070 and includes all of the above.

Good luck.

You could take that crazy mondo keen step and read the AOS guide. Train yer eyes UP, find the word 'Guides, click it, read the Types, pick one that is suitable to you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
