Yeah, that'd be the correct way to put it on the DS-230. I've seen quite a few people get RFEs for not putting "present" in the first "to" date.

s it really question #20? how come when i check on my DS-230 # 20 says FATHERS DATE OF BIRTH, now i'm confused, do i have the wrong form?

tina, for what its worth, I got that same email that you got and it was in response to my question about the NVC case number, not the DS 3032. Like I said, I dont know if that email means they accepted you or not..seems pretty generic to be the DS-3032 acceptance, but I am not really sure what that exactly looks like.

I remember seeing the DS-3032 acceptance posted somewhere either on this thread or another, but I don't remember where. If I had sent the DS-3032, I'd love to share with you guys what the acceptance looks like.

Grats! You're now purple! kicking.gif

Technically, it should come from your wife since she's the one assigning you as agent. But I'm not sure if NVC would notice/care. Just sign onto her email account and send it yourself :P

here are the emails I received from NVC, both the same day in regards to the case number:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, beneficiary and/or attorney of record will receive an Instruction Package regarding further processing of the petition.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process."

and number two

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

This petition is not yet eligible for further processing. The petition will be retained at the NVC until a visa number is available. The petitioner, beneficiary, or attorney of record will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing this petition.

The petition's priority date determines when a visa number is available for the beneficiary. The priority date is the date when the petition was filed at a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office or submitted to an Embassy or Consulate abroad. In employment immigration the priority date may be the date the labor certification application was received by the Department of Labor (DOL). "

You gotta love conflicting information! First email does seem to be the same as yours, word by word.
