I feel the same way! "We have sent the above petition to the NVC..." that's past tense so they are liars with their pants on fire.

Maybe to save on the cost of shipping they're waiting to send them all in one big box? Honestly, I don't know what to think anymore! :(

Ohh, that's a good point. My thinking was that unless you are doing Direct Consular Filing, the "country in which application for a visa is being made" would be the U.S., since you're sending your application to the NVC (although aside from the Affidavit of Support, I guess the NVC is mostly just collecting the documents to send along to the consulate).

Even if it's not necessary though, it seems like the safest thing to do would be to send in translations because maybe the consular officer would want to see them. Again, I don't know what's necessary/best, but that's just what I would do to be on the safe side. Obviously this situation is different, but when I was applying for my Taiwanese passport (which I applied for while here in the States), I had to translate my birth certificate into Chinese.

I agree- I figure since I've already done the translations then I might as well send them in.

well, the mess continues even after approval I see. What a nightmare this has all been...you are so excited to be approved and then you wait weeks for NVC to receive your petition, unreal. I figured since Texas was closer than Cali to New Hampshire that it would take LESS time for NVC to receive it, but I guess I was wrong about that. Why us?...do we get any sort of break here? Guess not :(

I thought about this..and then thought hmm no it couldnt be..but what if the petitions really are not approved yet? Why they would do this other than statistics is beyond me, so I threw that out the window. They are holding our approved petitions to not create a logjam in NVC is more along the lines of reason. Either way, we are getting screwed  Nothing new there!

3rd guy got to NVC finally, after a month!! That's a good news to all of us. Just wanted to ask a question those guys who reached NVC: did USCIS send you all a letter saying your case was sent to NVC after you got your NOA2? Seems like they started sending additional letters telling approved petition was forwarded to NVC.

skynaut,

I asked mike about it and he said that he got an email that his case is shipped to NVC. it took 7 days after he received email to get his case number. it means that we have to wait to get an email from TSC that our case has been shipped to NVC. hope to get this email soon. Mike got it after 38 days of his approval.

Customer service woman just told me to wait 90 days after approval.

Sooo one more month of waiting. My husband has to get his military record next week so I'm not in a super hurry but..I don't know...I mean I don't have any high expectations for TSC for getting our petitions out of their offices and into the hands of NVC!

Yes, but 90 days - that's three months. I can't believe it will actually take that long. I have a good feeling that TSC are getting more organised. I am truly hoping for the 15 days they quote. Our expedite is ready and waiting for NVC.

I notice CSC takes between 5 and 7 days to get the petitions up to NVC. It just is not fair.
