Sooo I figured I'd go ahead and start this thread for all of us [former] TSC hostages waiting for our NVC case #s! So far there's only been one of us that has gotten to NVC.

As for me, I spoke to an operator on 1/24/11 and she told me to wait 15 business days for the case to be received and entered in the system (that'd be around 2/4/11). So that's what's going on with me.

Hi!! What is TSC, CSC, VSC? Thanks!

Quick Question :- While NVC is enquiring about my expedite , can I also email the embassy to ask about the status of the Expedite ? Or NVC should be taking care of it.

Well, I emailed both NVC & the US Consulate General in Madras! Its the same email which I sent to both!

I emailed both as well, but didn't get any concrete response about the expedite from the consulate until NVC forwarded my email to them. All I got was an email saying they did not have my case and I needed to request the expedite through NVC haha, I still have love for Bogota consulate though!

part 1 of the medical was done today, part 2 is on monday! We have all the documents, but we just found out we have to translate them all! I never thought I would have to get translations, especially since it is a spanish speaking embassy...but I guess we do :( Oh well, it will all be done in time..I have faith in that for sure!

NVC sends the request to the respective Embassy/Consulate. The Embassy/Consulate will notify NVC of the results (Approved/Denied). Ultimately, the decision is up to the Embassy/Consulate, as they are the ones that will setup the interview. so.... in a nutshell, NVC "should" be taking care of it. I don't know if contacting the Embassy would do any good or not. Maybe Wade (Sqdngus) could answer this better.

My mom is a widow and in the RFE I recieved NVC stated that the death certificate of my dad is not orignial.

My dad passed away during his visit to US and was buried in South Carolina. The biggest joke is NVC says the original death certificate issued from South Carolina is not original. I didn't know what to say about it.

Well, it seems NVC has become our new black hole. After Mr. Badger rushed our health expedite through from USCIS, we really thought we had made a break through. We sent our expedite request to NVC, who transmitted it to London, and London approved us for a swift expedite. NVC also promised Mr. Badger we would get supervisor assisted processing to rush things through. We had a huge hold with my police certificate getting lost, but finally got our docs up to NVC last week. We were instructed to send them to a different address, with the words EXPEDITED DOCUMENTS. This we did, and NOTHING. Not a word. NVC are telling us they don't have the docs yet, but they do. London know nothing other than the original expedite request. The operators at NVC are telling us differing things everytime we call. Wait 6 weeks said one, wait 20 days says another. Yes, they are showing we are expedited, but NO ONE is doing anything about it.

The ONLY person who has ever helped us, is David Badger.

Sorry for venting, but one month from our approval, and we are no further on - and this is on EXPEDITE.

I'm starting to feel like Wade, frustrated and lost. If ANY ONE has any ideas what we can do, please let us know. I have my UK MP waiting to help, and Val has her senator, but no one can do nothing until NVC acknowledge receipt of documents. UGHH!!
