Congratulations. You have pulled way ahead of us. My wife's Biometrics is Feb. 24. I went to the USCIS web-site for our San Jose ASC (or is it ACS) and it says you MUST have an appointment. You cannot just walk-in. So I do not want to risk upsetting USCIS and trying to walk-in. Will wait for Feb. 24.

But then I hope the interview is schedule for 4 to 6 weeks later.

Good luck all.

Thanks. Well, they always say that on the website. You can try if you want, it won't hurt.

xiucai, would you mind if I asked you a question? Since you said your biometrics letter was dated the day you called about it, did they tell you on the phone that they were going to send out the letter that day? Or did they tell you you have to wait the full 30 days after you received your NOA's, like they said to us?

I was told the similar thing. There were a lot of applications, backups, etc. Don't worry, I am pretty sure they would issue the biometrics appointment pretty soon, since it is almost 30 days.

Good luck.

I dont think the person you talk over the phone knows if your Bio letter is dispatched or not. I called on 4th Feb (22 days since NOA1 date) and they said it will take 4 more weeks for me to get my Bio letter. Well, i received my Bio letter on 7th Feb and it was dated 2nd Feb. So technically when i called them, they should have told me that my Bio letter is on the way but did not hear those words. So be little more patient and you will get it soon. Also you are about to reach 1 month deadline so you will have a strong reason to call them.

My husband still hasn't gotten a biometrics letter. Sheesh. I guess I'll have to call sometime soon. I don't really want to call but I think my husband is going to be the last person here in this thread to get a biometrics letter.

I don't think your husband is. I am. :(

I filed everything on 01/14 but haven't gotten the FP notice so far. The only things I received are the 4 receipts. Neither do I see any case status update on USCIS's website.

Damn it....

Seriously, is my husband the last person in this thread to not get his biometrics letter yet? I just called USCIS to ask about it and they told me we have to give it 30 days after he received his NOA's in the mail to receive his biometrics letter. (He received his NOA's January 25) So she told me to call back next week if by then he still hasn't gotten his biometrics appointment letter yet.

Let me answer again: NO~~~~~~ your husband is definitely not the last person in this thread not to receive an FP notice. I AM, considering the date when I filed!

I'm not to sure if you can compare uscis timelines with most of us since Birdygirl, like myself, is awaiting AOS from her K-1 visa based on her recent marriage and not from a work visa but fingers crossed that you both get biometrics soon!

Does the status of the applicant matter? I don't think so... I think it only matters which zip code you used and which service office you need to go to.

I pretty much am calling them every day. When I called them again today, a terrible lady just yelled that "you need to wait for at least 60 days before calling us!" She said in some service offices the backlog is up to 3 months...:angry:
