Great. Now the illegal aliens drive without a license and thus without insurance as they still have to commute to work. Once they have an accident you, the guy who's not at fault yet faces huge medical bills and a destroyed car, won't get money, as it was the case until now, but the erected middle finger.

And that's a reason to celebrate?

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Yes. Driving without a license is not a mere traffic violation like a

speeding ticket - it's a criminal offense, punishable in most states by

a fine and/or imprisonment. It's also a surefire ticket to deportation.

Which is a whole lot better than the illegal alien driving with a license and no insurance?

Around here it's not uncommon for drivers to only get insurance from a fly-by-nite operation when they know they'll need to prove it (like DL renewal or traffic court). If your car is worth it then just have full coverage and be responsible for protecting your own interests.

Paul, maybe if you skipped the step where you have to completely villify and demonize anyone you don't like. I'm not a fan of illegal immigrants, but I'm not going to treat them like vermin as you propose.

The question that I have regarding this is, ICE. States do not have the authority or jurisdiction to carry out any sort of deportation. So unless these states are willing to contribute more from their tax coffers, they really should STFU.

I think it would be cool and perhaps cost effective if instead of deporting them which they can't do..... they should round up their illegals and buss them to an IllegaL-FRIENDly state... like CA.

Kick em out of the bus with contact info to that states social programs.

Hell you could even give'em $50 as a parting gift.

So, you would object to a return to the rule of law because the result of doing so may lead to more workload for ICE? Outstandingly bad logic.

The problem with ICE and deportation has little to do with State legislation and a lot to do with direction from the Federal Government. Additional State contributions would have minimal effect on the rate of repatriation, as the Federal Government has little intention of deporting anyone unless they really are given no choice by dint of their potential deportee's offences.

Sorry Pooky but that is pure rubbish. I see it every single day, ICE declining to take custody of someone arrested for various reasons which ammount to nothing. They don't have the money, and they say so.
