It was worth it to see the house wrecked. The Socialists were so clueless and many of them actually expected to keep the house. Obama the Socialist will now come on and annouce that he hopes to work with the Socialist lites and pass his #######. That will be almost priceless.

Not brilliant at all but with pretty two party system then we are going to get two ideas butting up against each other. You also know that historically that mid terms have always produced this exact outcome we had today. There was a lot of venom in the last administration back then also. No one (And here on this very forum also) didn't want to try to debate but also then wanted to spout venom and horrible stuff. I remember many times someone would just place a horrible pic here and many would laugh and of course we had the famous dancing or thumbs up. No debate but venom. Well it works both ways. Now the same ones that didn't want to debate but spout the venom back then want to debate and so on now but are disheartened to see the same actions they themselves enjoyed doing back then. Hard to believe that they didn't see their actions as having consequences but apparently they did.

I just get tired of the back and forth venom. America needs to pull together to get out of this mess and back on track again. We need to find the same resolve we had after 9/11.

Like I said. Hard to believe that no one realized that the same actions were going to come back to haunt them. Made it very divisive and showed me and many how the other side views things and I myself am not inclined to try to debate ones that would not try to back then. To me it said about them that I had to agree with them and there was no halfway point but a full coming to their side or I was wrong. Now of course you and many want to chat and talk and may even be willing to go half way but why should I now knowing what I know now from past experiences?

Sure you want to debate. Ok then Libs want to start a Fed government take over of health care. They also want pretty much the Feds to rule our lives from cradle to grave.

How should we pay for this?

Should it be just the rich pay?

How much should us middle class pay for this?

Does the poor need to contribute anything?

How long should we be at war with the Muslim world?

Is it right for us to have American troops in way over a hundred countries?

The cold war is over but we still pretty much keep troops in Japan, Korea.

Should we continue forever to keep this status quo?

Why do we have and continue to keep troops and have alliances in Europe since they are pretty much wealthy and can afford their own protection.

Is it right for us to keep giving corporate welfare to corporations?

How much is enough?

I can continue in this same vein but I usually know the pat answers. As it stands I see no reason to try to debate others when they refused to do so in the past. The future could be different but explain to me why I need to now try. And please don't try to say to me what someone said to me a few months ago about Bush it was deserved so it was OK then. Insult my intelligence and I will tune you out.

In a free country people have a right to be morons.

The country is not struggling. The country is going thorugh a cycle that is normal for a market based economy. We could just be communist like the Soveit Union and end all these cycles. How would that be? We have had recessions before, many, and boom times before, many. We will have them again. The government has little to do with it one way or another. The BEST way to imporve things is to make our country the BEST place to do business in the world. That means put the government Genie back in the bottle. We don't need them.

This cycle began with a government action, Bill Clinton signed a law on July 12, 1999 that allowed mortgages to become an investor experiment in order to allow people that were not qualified to buy homes. Affirmative Action for mortgages. The results were predictable. Now the government needs to GTFO! Let the market adjust, let the water seek its own level and then everything will be fine.

The dirty, stinking Republican politicians are more likely to do that than the slimy, greasy Democrat politicians.

Most of us from the first world are not migrating here because of the awesome country or your Constitution, we are here because of our spouses, hence the forum.
