So i am talking to Tanya now and she said the people in the medical exam office told her she could not go to the interview because she did not have her vaccination records as a child and teen. Anyone ever heard of this? So to make a long depressing story even worse she did not go to the interview. I cannot believe this!!!! So she is trying to see what she can do to get these vaccination records she does not have. She called her father, with whom she lived with for a time, to see if he has them, but it does not look good. why would this even happen? I thought the medical exam was a formality where she just gets her results and goes to the interview. I have no idea where my vaccination records are as a kid.

so I am in the process of writing an email to the Moscow embassy to ask them about rescheduling the interview. I still do not know why she didn't go, but if someone told me I could not go to an interview because I didn't have the right paperwork I would probably do the same and not go. I know the next interview date could be two more months away, and at this point is fine, but will they look down on this because she did not show for the interview? Did I mention I cannot believe this happened????

I need some desperate help here. what do we do now? We have no idea where we go from here. Please help.

Does this sound OK for the Moscow embassy????? I left out Tatiana's last name here.

My fiancee, Tatiana, had her interview scheduled on October 21 at 0800. She went to her medical exam the day before the interview, and was told she needed to have her vaccination records from when she was a child. She was told she cannot go to the interview because she did not have the vaccination records which is why she was not at the interview on the scheduled day. Is this true that she needs vaccination records when her younger days? I thought we had everything in order for the interview and the medical exam was just something we needed to do as a formality to have vaccinations and blood work done.

At any rate we need to reschedule the interview, and we realize this could be some time, but we are extremely lost as to what to do now. She does not have these records, so we do not know how to proceed. Could this stop her from getting an interview? We are both very confused right now. Please help.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry to hear about this situation. My wife also did not have her vaccination records and had no idea what or if any shots she has had in the past. The panel physicians simply gave her all required vacicnations per her age and that was it. Seems your fiancee should have been given the opportunity to just pay for and get necessary ones.

If u dont have past vaccine records then tell the physician at medical exam center that she is ready to take all vaccines which are required for her regarding her age. I think this will help u.Let see what other ppl says??

I just don't know why they didn't give her all the vaccinations on the spot. Now we have to reschedule, buy another plane ticket and worry about accommodation in Moscow. Maybe she misunderstood them or something.

Can you all read my letter to the embassy too? do you think this will be frowned up on now? I am just so lost. we were hoping to be together by Christmas, and of course this is shot down. Mind is racing right now.

If this is a K-1 visa the medical office has made a mistake and she can go without the records. She does not need the vaccines for a K-1 but will need them when she arrives before adjustment of status

If this is a CR-1 visa, you need to postpone the interview and get the needed vaccines from any doctor, take the records back to the medical clinic and get them signed off on.

She is a Fiancee? She doesn't need the vaccines. Go to the interview. Take the medical records. when she gets here make an appointmet with a local doctor, get the vaccines, then make an appointment with a Civil Surgeon and get the I-693 signed off on.

In the meantime, read and learn so you are not derailed by untrained government clerks (it happens on both sides of the pond) and do NOT buy plane tickets before the visa is in hand.

She can go to a local school and have them make up records for her. Everyone who went to the Soviet Union got the same vaccinations, so it should be no problem. This is a common situation.

Eekee...this is a non-immigrant K-1 (according to his letter) She does not need the vaccines for the interview or visa issuance.

Merry Christmas. (I suggest Orthodox Christmas, you can do it for 75% less in the US)

Kind Regards

Chris, Gary is right she did not need them if this is a K1 visa fiancee so she was misinformed. She can have her vaccinations done after you marry and send off AOS and she sees a Civil Surgeon here for the I-693 . If you send this letter in I have slightly changed some of the wording .

Good Luck

Thanks all. Believe me I have thought about my skepticism as well. I just think she didn't know, and I am not so sure I would have known either. Not trying to make excuses for her, but who knows. What would I have done? But believe me I am a little cautious. However it is not like I have sent her thousands of dollars. I think this is normal that my mind is running around in circles. I love this girl, and I believe she loves me very much too. At the same time we are thousands of miles away from each other, and you never know. I don't want to start questioning her trust, but at the same time I think I have to. To her defense though I am not in her shoes. We need to talk out what actually happened before I start passing judgment.

Her interview was for a K-1 visa, and if she doesn't have the vaccinations for the next time she goes to the interview, and they tell her the same thing then I'm gonna be really pissed. So I think we need to have her go to a school and get the vaccination documentation just for peace of mind.

I am just hoping the next interview will not be too far off. I still am in a little shock as to this whole process, but I am trying to calm down a little before I start drilling Tanya with questions. That would not be fair to her, and could be a recipe for a break-up. So I just want to talk to her. I'm just anxious.

Chris, fire off that email pronto pronto pronto....get the drift. Maybe also spend the $12 and make a call direct to the. You NEED to stop them NOW from sending the petition back because she did not show. Tell them the story and ask for a reschedule date. Yes you'll be placed at the and of the line, about two months, but dont' let them thing she has abandoned the visa petition, which is what they will be thinking because she did not show up. Don't delay, get that email off right now. Refenced the case number. Now, hurry.

I'm just curious, why didn't she call you or contact you in some way after the medical to tell you she wasn't going to the interview? Personally if I was told that then I would have called you freaking out and asking what your opinion was.

I don't know enough about the K1 process in your country but in Australia my medical is done in a different place (many hours plane ride) from my interview. If I was in the same town after hearing that at my medical, I would have gone to the interview anyway, just to see how I could fix it, or ask for an extension etc. I had a REALLY bad interview day. The kind of day where I was an hour late for my interview. 3 hours before my interview I didn't think I'd make it at all due to plane delays and I seriously considered not attending the interview and emailing them about it but I thought it would be easier to fight my case in person so I went. As it turned out they got my email about the plane issues and were fine with my delay... but I tried.. and I'm honestly a little shocked she didn't.

I agree you can't start drilling her with questions. She just might be the type to "lock up" when scared or sad, or maybe she was worried about disappointing you, but I was in phone contact with my (then) fiance during the entire interview process debacle and that's why when I read your post I immediately thought "red flag". There was a post just this past month where the girl got up to the interview and claimed she was denied and forwarded her fiance the denial email. On emailing the consulate himself the guy found out she never even attended the interview, the whole thing was a scam for money from him and he'd had no idea anything was wrong.

I'm not saying she IS scamming you, I'm just asking you to be wary. I would never NOT have attended the interview... I understand some people are different than me but after fighting for so many months to get to that stage, even after what the doc said I would have gone to the interview unless I received an actual notice from the consulate telling me it's been postponed or changed etc.

I hope it's just an honest mistake and I hope you can get this sorted soon.

You, the man, need to be calm and collected. We here have never had a reason to doubt your relationship and you shouldn't either. Yes one would thing that she would have collected these documents since they are part of her "vaccination history" as required per the medical requirements and as stated on the Moscow Embassy website.

Be that as it may, first you need to get the interview rescheduled.

Then you need to calm her and reassure her that all will be OK and it is not a problem, except that she will need to do some legwork at her home town, wherever, and then go back to Moscow and redo the medical and go to the interview.

Describe exactly what you believe she needs to do and have trust that she will understand and will do it.

Maybe she just didn't understand what was required or how to obtain that information. It is not a knock against her.

Don't make it one. You will have about two more months to get these documents and with a little monetary consideration, should have them in ample time.

Oh, and in the email to the Embassy, mention the name of the clinic and the date that she went to so the Embassy folks can call the clinic if they want to verify and to set them straight so they aren't making judgements on their own.

Email to the embassy has been sent to reschedule the interview. I hope it's not too late. She was schedule for last Thursday, so I am hoping this is not the case. What would happen if they sent the documents back to the USA? I imagine we would have to start from the beginning. I cannot imagine how awful that would be.

I think we both were so used to not contacting each other using the phone that we didn't think about it. Dumb on both our parts. I was trying to let her handle these things herself, but I will be calling next time.

I certainly do not think she is scamming me. We have been talking for a year and a half, and I have barely given her any money at all. So I cannot pass this kind of judgment on her. Of course I am a little skeptical, but at this stage I really cannot be. I think this was just a mistake.
