We tried a walk-in at Seattle office on a Monday morning. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. We told to come back on the scheduled date.

You may want to try a walk-in during the middle of the week. I have heard people have had more success during those days, as compared to a Monday or a Friday.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I wish we could do a walk in but Jacksonville, FL is 2.5 hours away from where we live...plus I am having a baby very soon, and was experiencing contractions the week of our biometrics appointment...did the sad thing and requested for a reschedule...no word from the Jacksonville ASC yet...am just dying here.

Biometrics appointment set for March 22, 2011. Walk in at Manhattan office March 1. It was surprisingly easy and pleasant. Took less than 10 minutes. The office was almost empty. Folks were so pleasant  ...Seriously, in New York City!! I'm still in shock.

Des Moines, Iowa

Done on March 4th, appointment was for March 28th. Almost turned away. The security guard said the lady agreed to do it only because there was no one else there. While waiting I overheard another lady tell a gentleman who walked in when my husband was almost done that they don't normally allow walk-ins, but she'd let him do it this once. His appointment was for March 10th.

Did a walk in in Oakland park , FL. my scheduled appointment was on the 26 of October but did it today, Oct 4. Lady asked why I was early and if it was because I was on a trip. I said yes ( didn't lie actually) but my sister wasn't and we wanted to do it together. She said ok and gave us a form to fill out. Gave her my passport ( which I had renewed without a visa because my old one with a visa had me when I was 6 years old) and she told us to take a seat until we were called. On my way to the seat I was called lol and I was out in 10 minutes. Ladies were not overly happy but I attribute that to it being 730 am. They were not mean either I just think they wanted to get things done as quickly as possible. Wish luck to everyone else who wants to try!! Oh! And lady in the front desk said we should expect EAD in mail in 90 days... Hopefully we will sooner.

And by the way, I took my original passport my expired Florida I.D and my Peruvian issued I.D
