Hello everybody!

My husband sent I-130. He got sms with nomber started from EAC... Is it NOA1?

I can't understand... USCIS call it "case nomber".

Maybe somebody can explane me, please?? :)

Hi soba.. yes yes its called case number also known as Receipt number that is given to u when u receive your NOTICE OF ACTION (NOA1). your husband received a txt and/or email then wait about a few days and you'll receive a hardcopy via airmail. these are the numbers u will use to find out about your case when u call USCIS or u can even go online to get information. type in your case number and it'll give u info about it :)https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Hoping to join you all in the next week or two. Just signing my G-325a and mailing it down to my husband. The only thing that is left is for him to get the cheques/money orders and the package is done!! At least he has some incentive to get his butt in gear so he can pay before the fees are raised.

Hello all...I'm also an October filer. I didn't not know about this website until after I filed and have been going a bit paranoid because I other than my marriage certificate, I did not send any other evidence of a bonafide relationship (I thought the I-130 said it was optional rather than required...will have to double check). I wonder if they ever send RFE asking for evidence of a bonafide relationship. I have the typical proof most people have (pictures, stamps on passport, receipt for magic jack purchase, also have joint savings account in beneficiary's home country, and I've also got a copy of a separate marriage certificate that the Church where we got married gave us). If this evidence is really required with the I-130 I hope they do just send me an RFE requesting this rather than just regard my case as a fake.

All I can hope is that everything turns out ok.

Good luck to all of you!

Hello, hello there

I feel like a part of this good community now.Filed 3 petitions for my spouse and 2 kids on Oct 4th at the Chicago Lock Box. Got email and text message 2 days later.then checks were cashed and received email and then hard copy of NOA1 dated 12th October. Now I have been trying to access my case online by putting in the receipt numbers but it keeps saying the number is incorrect. Called on Tuesday at the 800 number. Finally got a live person to talk to who was outright rude and nasty. He says since the case has been routed to California Service center I need to write to them for any queries or just sit and wait for 5 months which is the usual processing time. So you see the rock and roll begins.:bonk:

Hi BK21, Soba, Indi and JJ, yankeesgirl79, and Lorus! Welcome to the thread! :D

Still waiting on NOA1 stuff, but that's just me being impatient. I've got the hubby working on getting his documents together, and will get him to scan it so we can hopefully fly through the NVC process. Will be so nice to have everything in hand early - no more dragging him through the mud! I just wish I could get a hold of the e-forms (Montreal is participating in the online pilot program) to have those filled out and ready to go, but I think now that the ball is rolling, I won't have to use the cattle prod to get him to fill those out. :innocent:

ETA: Congrats Novella on the NOA1!!!:dancing:

Hoping with the speed at which they are processing the NOA1's and the move of some cases to texas that the Cali lockbox will get ot the same speeds the Vermont one is hitting.
