how do you get your case number?

thanks

piglett

If you've sent in the form for electronic notification, you'll either get an email or text (or both) when they officially log in your petition. It takes about a week for them to do so (my petition got there Nov 1, and I got the text/email the 5th). They will tell you the case number then. If you didn't opt in to the e-note, then you'll get your case number with your first NOA.

@Novella - make an account, and plug your case number in there. That's where you can find the 'last updated' column. :)

Great wedding video, my wife & I intended to have one too but we ended up just having pictures.

when we arrived in Romblon province, My soon to be father inlaw had a huge infection on the back side of his head.

He needed to go to the hospital RITE THEN!!

After a couple of day the local hospital said that the wanted him to go to Manila.

I told my wife to take some of the wedding money & give to parents to cover his medical costs.

I still think it was a great wedding though

i have a link below my signature with all the pictures.

take care

I included pictures, but not chat transcripts, or even excerpts of chat transcripts. The transcripts are not given as much weight as photos, visa stamps, and boarding passes due to the fact that they can be more easily falsified. You need to include proof of relationship now, else you'll end up getting an RFE which will slow down your petition approval. Go ahead and keep a copy of what you send in; it may come in handy later if your petition gets lost somewhere and they ask you to resend it.

I think intro's are a good thing, and here's mine: The husband and I met on an online text-based RPG in '96. We were friends up till we met in person in Canada, and then we became lovers. Married in 2004, lived in Canada for a couple years before having to separate in '06. The original plan was for me to return to Canada, but then he decided he wanted to go to school here. After a whole lot of nothing happening, I got fed up and started researching what needed to happen to get him into the country.. and that catches us up to late last month, when I finally sent in the paperwork to get this started. :hehe:

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

Oh yes he is well now & back to fishing in his boat

That is what he has done all his life in fact before it was badly damaged in a storm he was the captin of a really big boat

i think about 100 feet long.

the small boat he has now was built by his brother about 10 years ago. It's patched up some but even though it's small it still brings in the fish for him. The motor in the thing is made in china (about 3 hp) & it's better than nothing but it likes to overheat.

Once my wife arrives we intend to have a larger more powerful boat built for him so he can better provide for his family.

I don't want to risk hurting his pride by just sending money every month. Much better to give him the tools to make more money himself

the question that i have is what have people been sending in as proof of a relationship?

I sent in 3 affidavits from people that were sponsors at our wedding.

I also sent in our wedding picture & explained that many prominent members of the local community & church attend our wedding including the mayor & his wife. I don't think they will want to tell the mayor that he is a liar & that he never attended.....will they? Infact the mayor loaned us his personal vehicle & driver for the wedding.

re: proof of relationship.

i assumed that all the proof (photos, letters, etc) would be much more needed in the actual interview.

as a result, i sent (which was one of the items on the list) our daughter's birth cert.

Bonafide relationship requirement i think was what it said.

anyway, i hope that's good enough.

what do you all think?

oh oh oh story time I like this game :P Mine goes a lil like this. I am 26 she is 23 we got married on june 1st 2009. First contact was online "social networking site" I was a Marine stationed in Okinawa. We talked online for about 6 months then once i was discharged due to medical and was "allowed" to go see her i stayed with her and her family for a month. In that month I fell in love with her, her family, and filipino hospitality. We got married toward the end of my first stay. I came back tot eh us worked for about 6 months then decided i would go there to make it work use teh gibill go to school and live very well. I went tehere got my residency and accepted to ateneo. Thier curriculm was a little to be desired so I came back here got 2 jobs going to school and now we are have the I-130 in and after a year and half hoping we get her here lol. I would love for her to get here by april or may, but even if it does take the extra month it might be to our advantage cause june 1st is our two year anniversary which would be an automatic removal of conditions ate poe if i have read right :)

I just sent my I-130 on the 15th. Impatiently waiting for the receipt text/email but nothing yet. I was following the instructions of someone who just finished the process and didn't send anything for the "Evidence of a bonafide marriage" listed in the VJ instructions. :( I did note that he had submitted a joint bank account but since I wasn't able to add her to any of my accounts, I guess I didn't put two and two together there. I also didn't send it with a delivery confirmation so I am completely in the dark as to whether it was delivered at all. A rare double-fail?

Thank you to everyone who is making and keeping their timelines up to date. I've been watching those for guidance on how much patience to employ during this process.

Jan-2009 - Met online

Mar-2009 - Became a couple

Sep-2009 - Met in person (2 weeks in Jakarta)

Jan-2010 - Denied B1 visa

Mar-2010 - Engaged

Oct-2010 - Married

Nov-2010 - Filed I-130
