I read it. I dont trust the privact settings. This is big brother. He can get around privacy settings and passwords. We have given him ultimate authority in the name of national security. I will be surprised if Big brother can't restore what I have deleted, if he really wants to.

Well, SOME consulates aren't seeking to keep legitimate couples out.

Vancouver's nice. Montreal seems reasonable too the vast majority of the time. Must be all that Canadian niceness rubbing off onto the consular officers.

My marriage and intentions are honest. I don't want someone to try to construe my previous posts into something they are not only to create a reason to deny a visa. I love my wife very much and want her here with me. No need to risk my situation. I have requested my account to be removed from VJ also.

Get reading and check for yourself how many couples are suffering years of separation. You'd think the country where the institute of marriage is crumbling would do more to promote and support those who work to preserve it. It's been over 1.5 years since I've seen my husband. Instead of having children we're having forms! and more forms! And on top of that, times and things we treasure have now become 'evidence', gathering of which is only comparable to some psychosis. I think that even when it's all over, I would not believe that I've endured it. And don't even get me started on going broke over that Moscow trip...

You don't have to post any of this info for them to be able to identify you. As I said before, all they need to do is look up your IP address and they'll have all the information they need.

I don't mind if they look at mine either, pics and comments about visits just confirm our relationship is real. My FI has even friended some of my cousins, and the adjudicators can see he and I were obsessed with 2 vampire games last year and lost interest in them at the same time. And my VJ name is the name of my char in the game where we met, if they Google both our names they just find more evidence of us knowing each other a few years. ^^

Not trying to hijack the thread, but it appears you are using the same consulate as I am. What are you sending to NVC as opposed to waiting for your interview to show? Do they require the police certificates, etc. or are you waiting for the interview to present those?

I'm going to send everything to NVC. But this is because I have plenty of time to collect all the docs. I'm 'doing time' for the J-1 visa (from 1999!!!) and the 2 years that I have to spend here in Russia will be up in March 2011. If I didn't have the 2-year home stay requirement to fulfill, I'm sure I would've hurried the interview and submitted only the necessary docs to NVC, bringing all the rest with me to the interview.

well folks, as a result of this discussion I have deleted my facebook account. I value my privacy from big brother. Facebook says it will delete the account in 14 days. If USCIS wants to know something then they should just ask and not be sneaky about it. AS thomas Jefferson once said "a government big enough to give you what you want is big enough to take it away"

Seriously? Come on. There is tons of info on everyone just sitting in goverment hard drives now. Although I don't doubt big brother is checking out FB and the like, cancelling your account is rediculous.
