Hi Vjers, I have a quick question, hopefully someone can share their experience with me. Last week, I had received 2 originals of my AP (I-512). But according to my time line, I should have receive my EAD first. Till date I have not receive any letter or further details on my EAD application. Is this normal? This is really frustrating because without the EAD, I can't do name change with the Social Security office, I can't take my driving theory exam and apply for a learner's driver's license (I don't have any driving experience, therefore no driving license from my hometown, so I got to start everything from scratch over here), I can't apply for a State ID, I can't do my name change with the bank that my husband and I both use, the utility company refuse to add my name in with my husband without my EAD or GC not to mention, I can't work at all, basically I can't do anything here! It is a little depressing looking at it :P Is it a good idea to make an infopass now or should I continue waiting (till end August, maybe)?

Thanks in advance for any replies and advice I can get!

Lance and Ash.

My EAD and AP were approved on the same day, but the card production period and variations in mailing time meant the AP arrived and a week before the EAD did. It's perfectly normal.

DON'T PANIC

You get them when you get them. Some people don't get them at all. I had mine approved on the same day but I got the AP in the mail first 'cause it's a quick print thing, but the card is obviously harder to make.

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to " Working & Traveling During US Immigration" as this is relating to AP and EAD**
