I just received a notice that I got RFE'd , and the text email doesn't say why... I guess I will have to wait for snail mail "USPS" and the letter... Does this process speed back up once RFE is recieved? This is killing me......

as disappointing as RFE is, ironically it can be good news too; at least you know your file is right there on the officer's desk, waiting for the last missing piece of puzzle to be added. You'll be approved within days upon replying to the RFE! Good luck! :thumbs:

Go back to your copy of the submitted petition and go through it - it may give you an idea what you're being RFE-d for - you do have a copy of everything you submitted, right?

Hello.

Do you mean that your case was refused? if so, why? how come they refused it before you get your interview?!! did you try to contact them via email to understand what happened?.

I think there's something missing in the documents, just check and make sure you did not miss anything. Please let us know how things worked out

No, I did not say that. I was only encouraging Ttown here, saying that having an RFE is also good news, because their file will be checked again once they send back to USCIS what they were asked through RFE...and I am sure they will get the NOA2 soon. Let's stay optimistic, guys... :thumbs:

I unfortunately lost most of my copies in a fire due to a curious puppy and a candle... The only thing i can think is her birth certificate was in spanish, or maybe because her letter of intent to marry was missing... I sent numerous boarding passes, copys of emails and phone records, pictures, passport showing all my entries into the country

In order to know if you have a touch or not you have to sign into the USCIS website and sign up for notifications and once you do that there is a section that say "Last update" once the date changes in that box that means you have a "touch" a touch simply means they have updated your case one way or another....Good Luck

"N" means you are not signed up for email and/or text message alerts from USCIS. If you activate it, USCIS will send you one or both when something happens in your case but be aware that the system is not 100% perfect.

It's probably for her letter of intent. That is definitely required from both parties. The birth certificate is not required at the I-129F stage for the non-USC, I don't think. Either way, get back whatever they need ASAP and your case should proceed normally :)

We just had an RFE and it turned out I simply sent in the 3rd page of the 129f with a copied signature not my original one. I made so many copies of the package I must have screwed up and placed the copy in. OOPS! I sent the right one in the next day. I still haven't heard anything, but will check to see if we've been touched!!!
