Good luck with everything triaxxx! I hope the expedite really helps!

JinyAndJony- I have seen on here where people hand write and type in the same form. Some times I think it depends on if it looks sloppy or just like you needed some more room. I used hand writing on the G325A forms as well as typing because I needed more room. I thought I was going to be RFE'd but then again there were plenty of things I was worried about RFE's for. If you don't feel comfortable only having some hand written answers, you could write out the whole thing :).

Good luck either way! Any news on your PCC's?

Ok, someone needs to make an August NVC thread! I, for one, know I will be in that thread. As well as September and October and possibly November.

C'mon good news NVC!!! Give Nica her SIF!!!!!

 and hey..two more questions, folks

5. didyu all staple the photos with DS230..? the stapler-pin marks on the photos are okay? I cud make a paper pouch and pin the pouch to the form if need be

6. Did someone write the case number on original docs with a removable sticker or something? Or do we just write the case number on the DS230 form and just the photocopies of docs?

I didn't staple my photos; I put them in an envelope and at the back of each photo I wrote my husband's name and the NVC number. I wrote the NVC number on the top right corner of the DS 230 and the copies of my original documents.

I wrote my full name and NVC case # on the back of my photos and placed them into a small plastic baggie which I also labelled. I then taped that bag to a 8 x 11 piece of white paper.

I did not write my case number on my originals but I did on all of the photocopies. Good luck!

Only on one side.

Hello, does anybody know if NVC accept DS-230 directly mailed from the beneficiary OR it must be from the US citizen? Thanks!

Doesn't matter who sends it but beneficiary must sign it.

Good luck all!

I'm posting what I read in another thread staded by member "Rodceasar" he got this information from a phone operator at the NVC

"She stated that there is a presidential initiative which has them slow down processing of CR-1 visas for spouses of US citizens to focus on visa cases tat have been sitting for years for others who are not spouses of US citizens."

This should explain everything.

While I'm happy that people have been waiting for years to get their spouses to the USA are going to be united again, I'm still peeved about appointment post processing.

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.

I just called the NVC too. (Haven't called them in 2 weeks. I'm so proud of myself LOL)

The very freindly operator told me that our "processing time" actually started on June 28 and not on July 6th.

That means we are in week 5 now and I'm kind of silly escited about it.

Oh god how crushed can a person be to be happy about that.

Are they just going to throw our cases in the back room or what?

I called my husband today and told him about the "presidential initiative"... he already hated Obama before, guess how he feels now.

Like msd said, it's wonderful that people are that have been waiting for years are going to be reunited, but can't they just hire more people and get more cases closed?

I'm sorry to say this but if your husband hates Obama bcos of how things work in a country that isn't his, tell him to sit his #### tight in Nicaragua or wherever he comes from. The process has been like this and everybody went through it. Your husband cant be an exception. He doesn't have to move to the USA, you may want to move to Nicaragua to stay with him if he hates Obama or the USA.

need a spotlight on question number 21a.. on ds 230. 21a. Person(s) named in 14 and 19 who will accompany you to the United States now.http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-230.pdf

on question 19 i listed my daughter;s name. and she WILL be coming here with her mother/ my wife / applicant.

SO... do I list my daughter's name in Q.21a...? i am sonfused because she is US citizen by birth, so i didnt file any petition for her, BUT she will be coming here with the applicant. so to prove that she is US citizen...do I submit her us embassy issued bith certificate with my ds-230 package?? so NVC and us consulate will know that my daughter is us citizen and didnt need immigrant visa petition . OR doing this will make things complicated???

friends... whats ur take on this???

Thanks.

Yes, you need to submit your daughter....

I only send a copy of my baby US passport with DS-230 to NVC

Hey raphmadu, I see you're very quick to make assumptions. My husband is from Chicago, he's the petitioner. I am the beneficiary from Nicaragua. I really do NOT appreciate your comment, I find it very ignorant.

At the risk of sounding too judgmental or harsh I just have to say that hating the president because of the Presidential Initiative is ridiculous. This initiative is a good thing because I know a lot of people that have been waiting a very long time to be with their loved ones. I miss my husband everyday, every minute and every second of the day and I wish he was here right now, but other people has it worse than me and you in terms of the waiting. Also, I am sure if the NVC had space--and I'm speculating here--and probably the budget they would hire more workers.

With that said, perhaps you and your husband are just venting out of frustration, which we all need to do sometimes. I just think hating the President is not going to make the frustration go away.

Finally, I wish you well and I hope you get your SIF soon and then your interview date.
