PS - You're right that people forget that not all Muslims are Arab, and tend to focus on the Middle East as though that's where all the Muslims are. In fact, Arabs are only about 15 - 18% of all Muslims. Most Muslims are Asian.

well, not exactly. Some Shia are not Persians, for instance, in Southern Iraq. They are ethnically Arab.

I realize since the rift amongst Muslim's goes back that far [or further, delving into realms I don't know too much about] and runs deeper it is an easy dodge for you but please, when was the last time Protestants or Catholics advocated killing one another based on their perceived religious rivalry? Apples and Oranges? No more like Apples and moon rocks.

No, the Sunni-Shia rift doesn't go back as far as the beginnings of the Catholic Church. The last time Protestants and Catholics actively waged bloody war was in the 1990's. Funny how that's not really counted as a blight on Christianity, though.

3,500 deaths or so in Northern Ireland since 1960 through 2010 hardly compares to some recent week's worth of sectarian violence in say Iraq. But I guess I am just quibbling and there is really no big problem within the Muslim faith worth worrying about.

It pushed it out of the public eye because Christian on Christian violence isn't really about Christianity, but Muslim violence is about Islam, for sure.

Did anyone note that you rarely hear about the Christians slaughter of over 200,000 Muslims in the 1990's ethnic cleansings in the Balkans?

And Iran cannot fight a war with Israel from a distance. Israel has missiles, too. The first non-conventional warhead that falls on Israeli soil will see Tehran disappear in a flash of instant sunshine. It's why the coalition in the first Gulf War tried so hard to keep Israel safe.

Not just Tehran. If a nuke comes into Israel then Israel will launch multiple nukes to hit many other capitols of who they perceive are the enemy. That could be what is also motivating the Saudis as they may not want a nuke coming their way. Since this is happening now I suspect that Iran may be about to get the bomb.
