Perhaps Russia will make Iran a good deal on all their Cold War hardware. All three of those countries have been good buddies recently.

Pointless, really. Iran doesn't possess the aerial strike capability to strike at Israel in that way. Plus they'd be daft to try as it would make the Marianans Turkey Shoot of 1944 look like a fair fight.

Not just Tehran. If a nuke comes into Israel then Israel will launch multiple nukes to hit many other capitols of who they perceive are the enemy. That could be what is also motivating the Saudis as they may not want a nuke coming their way. Since this is happening now I suspect that Iran may be about to get the bomb.

Why doesn't Saudi Arabia bomb Iran themselves? I mean Saudi is the 8th powerful country in the world. They could easily bomb Iran to nothingness.

I'm of the opinion that noone's going to make the mistake of bombing Iran. While Iraq was a sitting duck, Iran isn't. Iran has a fairly capable military with its own set of fighter jets and missiles than can reach the whole of Israel and parts of Europe. All these sanctions will go on for the next 4/5 years and at the end of which Iran will say, "Look, we tried to use nuclear technologies for civilian purpose. You didn't let us but threatened us. Now having no choice, we suddenly have 5 nuclear bombs. Try and stop us, bitches." Then everyone will STFU and go back to their own respective countries and will try their very best to keep things in order lest Iran and Isreal really make a giant parking spots in Middle East.

This is how it's all gonna play out. I saw the script.

Also, nearly all intelligence agencies of the world say Iran doesn't have nukes and are many years away from getting the know-how to build the first bomb. Saudi doesn't have the combat experience, the tactical nous, or the cojones to do the job, but they know who does.

Like I said, chump, KSA is one of the top ten countries in the world in term of fire powers, know-hows, hardware, etc. They could do it easily but they won't because Saudi citizens would revolt against the impotent government and so would the rest of the Muslim world. Noone likes the Saudi government. Don't be surprised if tomorrow you read news article telling how Saudi Arabia completely denies opening up its airspace to Israeli strike on Iran. Even if the government secretly allows it, it will deny it public.

Oh and when one side is provided by the only hyper power in the world and fighting against a poor country crippled with decades of sanctions, it's never going to be a fair fight. But when has a war been about being fair? It's all about exerting the stronger's wills on the weaker.
