So I just checked my phone and there were two text messages from USCIS sent this morning ... and according to the website my EAD card has been ordered and my AP has been approved! YAY! I'm so stoked ... now I start my job at the end of the month!

w00t! Congrats Ali!! I was so hoping that you would get *at least* your EAD so you could start that awesome new job with the airlines!

I still have not received my biometrics letter...I am getting so frustrated. I put in a request for an expedited AP and I was wondering if they can issue one without my biometrics. Does anyone know??

we did recd EAD website card production last Aug 5 and AP approval letter yesterday. Getting ready for interview next week.

Wow! I am so sorry to hear this. I don't have the answer to your question, but feel your frustration. It would be great once all this is over, wouldn't it.

I'm sorry to hear that... I don't have an answer for you neither but technically the biometrics is EAD and GC but not for AP. So it may be possible that you get AP without biometrics done...

Well, what was it, hopefully its the AP to keep our timelines running at the same speeds (although technically I have overtaken you with the AP even though your interview is before mine!!)

S00820193, I still can't believe they have yet to schedule your biometrics! As far as AP goes, I believe it is not dependent upon biometrics whereas i-485 and i-765 are. I hope you get the AP soon ...

I'm unsure if that's new or it's always been there.

Hi, when I called today for my service request for biometrics I asked and they said it was need for AOS and EAD, but not for AP. They gave me a service number and told me to wait antoher 30 days. I feel your frustration! I am just trying to stay happy for everyone else in our group and hope there good vibes rub off on us.

So the mail I received yesterday was for AP!! I didn't receive approval notice for AP, only for EAD, so it was a bit of surprise... But it's good for us! We can go to the Wine Festival in Mexico this weekend

Ok...it's 134 am in LA and I possibly had one the worst days of my life today. I won't bore anyone with the details, but it's got to do with my job. I absolutely HAVE to get out of there and while I know that my interview is just 15 days away- I am getting facial paralysis even thinking about going to work tomorrow to have to face these people again.

Please someone tell me- after we go on the interview- and we get approved- how soon after can I quit? Or rather, when am I able to get another job? Do I have to wait another 30 days for the card production? Am currently on H1-B.

You can quit your job now if you want to. I would just make sure you have something lined up first and can get a letter from the new employers HR dept or management. You may be asked about employment at your interview. The AOS financial stuff is just a representation of what job you are doing at the time of filing. Situations change constantly and I'm sure you wouldn't be the first person to change jobs during the adjudication of AOS. I had to change jobs right before my wife's K-1 interview...no problems... but, that was my experience, others may have a different story to tell.

I would wait until after your S/O gets their GC in hand. After that you don't have to worry aboutwork until your S/O goes for the 10 year GC or Naturalization. Really after they have their GC you don't have to work at all. Just make sure your S/O doesn't ask for govt assistance or whomever the sponsor or co-sponsor can be sued.

I'm sorta in the same situation. I hate my job, but I cannot until my wife gets back into school.

I received 2 notices as well. This is what I think is going on. When the USCIS that granted EAD sends it out for card production you get notified, when the USCIS center that actually makes the card receives the production order and begins production you get another notice. Just a theory.
