Hi guys,

I'm looking for a new series of novels to read.

I really enjoyed the Dark Hunter novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon and The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward.

Does anyone have suggestions for me?

What are you reading currently if you're into this genre?

Thanks!

do you read old stuff (can check out from library, lah )

JOB, a Comedy of Injustice, by R.A. Heinlein

Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand

anything by K. Hellerman (Lazarus police detective series)

anything/everything by Diana Gabaldon

Here's the old thread - maybe find some titles for you there?

Thanks for the link and suggestions. Haven't been posting on VJ in a while, I guess I should have done a search first!

Oh - no sweat. IMO, that thread was mostly dead anyway - I've a theory that reading is swift, in Canada, during the winter months, but -

When the snow melts, reading gets suspended for outdoor activities.

It's just a theory, though. ;)

(yes, the above was written in jest, I don't want to come off as being uber douchey in the OT forum)

Try reading something by James Michener. He has many and varied books and has always been a fave. I was given my first book by him when I was 13 by my grandmother name of Hawaii and since then has read every book written by him. I consider this among the best gifts ever given to me by anyone to be introduced to this Author.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Amazingly funny and witty. I really recommend it.

(Caveat)

{Not a novel}

I've read just about everything by Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers

His two books on travel (did the entire world on a motorcycle AND by car)

are NOT to be missed, even if you have no interest in investment.

I just found a copy of "Investment Biker" at a flea market for 25 cents

this weekend. I've read a library copy but love having my own copy.

I also second James Michener and would highly recommend

Harold Stevens

If you read anything by him and only choose one, the "Last Voyage" would be the one.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Definitely adding some to my list of books to read.

I picked up Good Omens when it first came out, because it was co-written by one of my fav authors, Neil Gaiman. I love any and everything that man has touched! If you're into graphic novels, I'd highly recommend the Sandman series he's done. Brilliant!

Hitchhiker's guide is an all time favorite as well.
