Erm - the US doesn't allow people to enter "willy-nilly" either. It's why you have to apply for various visas before they'll let you in to get married and live there.

The problem isn't the law as much as the enforcement of it.

I don't see how you can claim with any authority that Australia is any better than the US at enforcing these laws, other than than the geographic fact that Australia doesn't have another entire continent attached to it by land.

It's quite easy to make this claim. A large majority of the freedom, protection and services illegal liens have access to are simply not available in AUS. Almost every government service is residency tested. Businesses are also required to verify ID when opening bank accounts and so on.

Had Australia had a foreign country with people living within meters of the border on the other side, they'd have 100 fold Arizona's laws. As you would know perfectly well, parliamentary countries don't operate on judicial views of the high court alone or documents written hundreds of years ago. The governments is dynamic and deals with the challenges facing the country in the present time. For example, modifying their Constitution in the last decade to ensure at least one of a child's parents are a citizen before they quality to be a citizen.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

No, someone doesn't have to do the rapes, but yet rape happens, and statistically rape is not confined to those who happen to belong to a specific demographic or legal status. This crime is terrible, it shouldn't have happened, I get it - but linking rape to illegals is less than helpful.

we have all seen the FBI uniform crime statistics that indicate that blacks are 14 times as likely to commit a felony crime as whites, and that hispanics are 18 times as likely, per population. police i have spoken with about the subject in pennsylvania indicate that illegal hispanics are more likely to offend than legals, anecdotally.

if we remove the illegal hispanics (about half of hispanics in country), then we have reduced felony crime way out of proportion to the change in population.

what part of this do you not understand?

It will be, it always is, he will get deported again after serving whatever sentence is imposed. What else would you like to happen to him? Shot?

if i had been on scene and seen the incident in question i would have the right and duty as a resident of the state to use lethal force against an individual in the commission of a "heinous crime against the body". that's the way the law is written. PA sec 6100.

would prolly get my name in the paper, and would have to tender that pistol for the duration of the investigation, but the a hole wouldn't be raping anybody else from the grave.

Your interpretation of facts is quite colourful, literally.

I am not sure what you intend to convey with your 'if I'd been there, I'd have done this' bravado ####### - but it just makes you look like a fool to be quite honest.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

PS While you are there, you have no access to any taxpayer funded services period.

wow, good thing obongo's aunt wasn't in australia illegally. if she had been, she wouldn't have had free housing, free food, free medical care, hell, she wouldn't have gotten a free hip replacement. good thing she was here illegally, so my tax dollars could pay for all that ######.

It is laughable that the same folks who are against 'bigger government' and the 'federal government', then turn around and claim the government has failed.

It's really not, BY. Protecting the border / enforcing the laws *is* the government's job - their *only* job.

What about when an American does a deplorable offense? Where do you deport them?

I said "deportable offense", not "deplorable". Legal immigrants are subject to deportation

if they commit a deportable offense.

The law makes a clear distinction between US citizens and legal permanent residents.

Citizens cannot be deported, while legal immigrants are still guests in this country and

can be deported if they commit a serious crime.

When it comes to immigration, Australia does not share the US's view of allowing anyone to enter willy-nilly.

Canada doesn't even allow US citizens with a DUI/DWI to enter - that's how strict they are.

The NY DMV database is accessible by the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) and the

Canadian license database is accessible by the US CBP.

This.

I am not arguing your statistics because they are meaningless. OK, hispancis are 18 times more likely to commit crime than whites. OK, I will concede the point. If we remove illegals we reduce crime disproportionately to the number removed (compared to whites). True. But ONLY if they don't come back.

The person at the subject matter of this topic WAS removed FOUR times. But he came back and committed a rape. What part of "removing illegals" does not prevent crime do you not understand? Trapping raccoons in your backyard and taking them out into the forest does not prevent them from raiding your trash can tonight. Putting the trash can out of their reach eliminates any desire for them to climb your fence and get to your trash can. There is nothing there for them.

Why would you be against severely punishing employers that exploit illegals by hiring them and ending the economic incentive for the "removed illegals" to come back?

Very true. I got turned around at the border once because a freind of a friend that was riding with us up to Montreal had a DUI more than 10 years ago and Canada will NOT allow him to enter. I had to take him back home and go back without him.

Watching you two argue should be interesting.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
