Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is speaking out against the new hard-line immigration law in Arizona, becoming the first prominent national Republican to do so.

"I think it creates unintended consequences," he said in a telephone interview with POLITICO Tuesday. "It's difficult for me to imagine how you're going to enforce this law. It places a significant burden on local law enforcement and you have civil liberties issues that are significant as well."

The measure, signed into law last Friday, would require police to check the immigration status of any individuals they reasonably suspect are illegal immigrants and arrest them if they can't prove legal status.

Bush said he understood the anger that prompted the bill, but that immigration should remain a federal issue.

"I don't think this is the proper approach," he said.

Of course, how else are all of his mates going to get laborers to work for peanuts?

The audacity of having to hire Americans and actually pay them a fair wage.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

We get what we pay for in this day and age. The problem seems to be everyone wants so much for so little! Seriously though I seen a woman a few months ago in a brand new (least it looked new) BMW stop and look at the fuel prices at wal-mart before mumbling to herself that it was still too expensive! lmao The average unskilled worker out there has what to look forward to? $7.50 - $8.00 an hour with little or in many cases no real options for health care. That isn't anywhere near enough for the average person to live on.

I think our options are clear, profits take a cut and workers get paid what they deserve or prices for products and service go up. Either way even being "legal" it seems a bitter struggle to keep a foot on the ladder if your at the bottom. I can only imagine how shite life has to be and how much more of a struggle it is to make a living without the correct documentation.

So, you hate all Republicans ... unless they agree with you, when they suddenly become the paragon of good sense. Miraculous. :innocent:

Jeb Bush is a prominent Republican ? No No No... He's been marginalized, already.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
