:help: My check was cashed on 4/22/10 and I have not yet received a NOA1 notice. I have tried to check the WAC # on the back of my check and it is not working... I included an email address on my cover letter how should I be notified of the NOA1? I think i should call the USCIS....

Hi everyone

My husband and I also filed this month. We sent off our application to the Chicago Lockbox on April 15 and it was delievered on April 17. We received an email today (April 27) to say that our application had been received and sent to the California Service Centre. Is that the unofficial NOA1?

According to the VJ timeline, our application should be 'adjudicated' between July 11 and Aug 13. I'm guessing that's the timeframe for NOA2 (?) and our interview will be scheduled after that.

Do you think it is too early to go ahead and get the police clearance, even though I haven't received my NOA1 packet in the mail yet? I want to have as much ready as possible for the next stage of processing.

You can get the PCC now, but keep in mind that in some places they have a date on how long it's good for, so if it expires before you get to NVC it will be point less to get it now.

find user "Deb+Steve" they are from Australia they can maybe tell you how long it's good for...

Don't know why my time-line says k3 - I have attempted to correct it several times. Let me try again. After all that I have read, I have no intention on sending in the I-129f - sounds like a waste of postage money. CR1 all the way!

05/05/2010 - Check Cashed

When we sent out our papers on April 03, we found out that our check was torn apart, it was stapled so that explains why they sent us a envelope to put our new check there and sent it to them again. My question is our check was cashed just today, how many days would we received our NOA 1 from the day the check was cashed. Thanks!
