Congrats Raven :) Great news! I like your story about your RFE, that's pretty funny. Making them regret asking by sending a mountain of stuff.

Well, another week has passed and no news on our end. I'm pretty mad that when my husband called up and explained that he's deploying the operator said the case would be expedited. But the time it has taken suggests that the operator just said the words, but didn't actually do anything about it. The fact that they didn't ask for any written documentation from my husband, and instead just said "Yes, your case is tagged for expedition" or something like that sends alarm bells to me. Obviously they ignored his request and just said "whatever, up yours, I'm going to ignore you, who cares if you're getting deployed."

Makes me SO MAD. I feel so helpless with this whole thing... the window of time that we'll have between me flying out there and him going on his long deployment is closing smaller and smaller every week.

But such is life, no?

Some good news: Wasn't sure if I needed a police certificate for 11 months living in the US. But all VJ threads suggest that I don't. So that's the good news.

:(

I am suspecting something might be wrong with their IT system. If the processing time status site has been down all day, imagine if they had to do some internal maintenance. I can see the officers blaming it on the systems and taking it easy. I suspect that because right around when the backlog started, is when the email txt functionality stopped working for many. With files being transferred from VSC to CSC, them pulling out the Haiti and Chile application, plus other expedites - large number of application, officers on vacation and computer systems down for maintenance = MASSIVE BACK LOG.

I keep telling myself to not login for another 60 days, but desperation makes me check out the status of your Marchers twice a day.

I wish you Marchers a speedy approval !! Looking forward to next week filled with joy !

Something must be up with CSC for having to wait so long for NOA2. I did have the experience a few years ago, in the business world, of trying to contact a vendor in California. For three days, all my calls went to voicemail without a response. Finally got a call back and found out that the "surf was up" and everyone went surfing. Maybe that's what is happening. The "surf has been up" for the last four weeks!

I keep looking at Igor's list. I don't like to be towards the end of any list, but somebody has to do it.

Let's go CSC!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to flood the NVC mailbox with emails!
