Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

@TBoneTX. Check the bottom of the forums. That is where it is now. I am not sure where to move it now.
Ah -- I was being unclear, si man. The stuff at the bottom (which has always been there) refers to activity while people are already ON the boards. I was talking about this: Start computer, start web-browser, open VJ URL, get sign-in screen, engage username/password, and -- on the first screen after thus signing in -- seeing something toward the top that said (and I don't remember the exact language) "Your last visit was Yesterday, 12:28 pm" or "Your last visit was March 17, 6:53 am" or similar.

This knowledge enabled me to stop reading a forum before I went too far back in time, si man. Can you reinstall this feature, si man?

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

Can we please, please, please get the option back in Advanced Search to have results show as threads, instead of just as posts?

Please?

[if I'm an idiot, and it just moved somewhere obvious, could someone please point it out to me? :)]

Thank you, that's almost perfect.

One little problem:

Is there any way it can be made to give the option to sort the threads by when the thread was last updated, rather than when I last posted to the thread?

Please?

Minor color tweak to make the forum colors less "bland".

You can archive single conversations when you are viewing them (by that I mean save as html, word or print). Right now the mass archiving feature is not working but should be back in the near future. I use it too btw so I have a vested interest.

Thanks Capn. I'll wait, then.

My problem with 'current conversation' is that it's like a thread, for me- so if I delete it after saving it, I won't really remember what we were talking about... Not that I'm lazy, but hei.

Soonish , ya think? within a week, maybe ?

Warmest Regards...

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed already, this is one long thread. ;)

When I click on my subscription notifications, it takes me either to the beginning of the thread, or somewhere randomly within the thread. Is this a setting I need to change? The links used to take me to the newest post since I had last read the topic.

I think the updates may have tossed out your "last viewed" dates. Let me know if this continues to be a problem.

I don't know if this bothers anyone else - but - when you go back and edit a post now it shows up with the date stamp etc shaded in gray and takes away from the post.

It's too close to the text of the post and is it important enough to be shaded? I personally don't think so, it should be in a small font and less obtrusive imo.

Edited - because that's what I do :)

No one has yet mentioned the "View New Content" and "Popular Topics" buttons. I like these a lot less than what was previously offered (though, I cannot for the life of me remember what the button in that same location used to be called). It seems a lot messier and confusing than the previous option, and the other one was more succinct/had more information (you could look back various pages), etc.

I have the same reaction to the home pages new layout. Something about it makes it seemed "unorganized"....and I am not sure what makes a thread a popular one vs the ones that have been written on recently. Just a lot of headlines on the home page (I prefered getting a glipse about what the topics discussed)

Maybe I need to learn more about this "orange button" that others have discussed....any word on if it is working yet and where it can be found??

Thanks!
