Hi all. There was alot of approvals on Monday it seems. I was online with my love when we received the email that we were approved as well. I am wondering since there are so many approvals all at once if it will slow down the process of going through NVC? What can we expect next? What is NVC'S actually role in this process? I mean do they set up the interview date or do they request anything from us? I was just so worried about the NOA2 that I truly don't know what to expect now. :P:blink::dance: I am so happy for all of those who have gotten approved today. Congratulations to all of you!!! :dance::dance: Wow when CSC does it they really do it ;)

I was wondering about NVC also. Theorecticaly it would seem that oncee the application was approved, all visa should process through NVC at a similar rate (barring any problems). Logic would dictate that the bottlenecks are the Service centers and the Embassies themselves. Does anyone have any idea about the time now required for NVC processing? Surely they have cleared any backlog during the IMBRA hiatus.

BTW--we got our approval e-mail yesterday also!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Now off to NVC... you can expect to wait until your petition arrives and prepare to wait about six weeks unless a name pops up and then (heavens help ya) but then, I've seen them get through rather fast too. hang tight. :hehe:

CONGRATS! I doubt if this slows down the NVC because that turn these K1 visa petitions over in a hurry... Thank goodness for that!

I cannot remember if I congratulated you already....So here it is again:

Congratulations!!!!!!!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

It would seem logical that NVC will slow down somewhat, as Embassies will. I doubt if it will really have a major impact, until the bulk of the backlog starts to stream in. You early approvals, should be in really good shape..

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

In my opinion this should not slow down the NVC process. The NVC merely runs additional background checks and assigns and forwards the cases to the pertinent consulates. They handle millions of petitions each year. An infulx of 5000 - 10000 petitions will not backlog them.

They just finished with most of the H1B (non-immigrant professional workers) processes which were filed from 4/1 until late May.

The bigger concern would be the process at the consulate and their interview schedule. It will differ based on consulate. I would suggest reading your pertinent embassy website on their procedures and wait times for interviews. Having the NOA2 is a major hurdle and you will be fine, you are coming down the home stretch and good luck.
