I spoke too soon (see post above). The USCIS on-line status tracking system finally recognized our AP receipt number yesterday and allowed us to enter it into the system. Lo and behold, the first status we see is "approval mailed," etc. It never recognized the AP receipt number until the very day AP was approved.

Interview date: Apr. 12, 2010 at 9:45am

We went to the Cleveland CIS office around 9:10am, and placed the initial interview letter in a box. While we're waiting the officers told us there's something wrong with the Naturalization computer system so that there's a delay for about 30 minutes for the scheduled interview.

We're called in at 10:40am. The IO immediately had us sworn in. The IO then first repeated what's written on my husband's papers and had him answered yes or no. After that, the IO repeated what's written on my papers and had me answered yes or no.

Then he asked my husband how we met, what kind of wedding we had, how many people were at the wedding, are we planning to have kids. Afterwards, the IO wanted me to show proof of our marriage. I gave him our photos, health insurance, auto insurance, joint bank checks. He looked through those, complimented our wedding, asked us who were those people in the pictures.

Then IO asked me: "Is it the first time you enter US?" I answered No. Then he asked: "How many times you've entered US?" I immediately answered: "Wow, good question." I was nervous at that time and didn't know what to say. After 30 seconds or so I answered: "I've been here three times when I was a kid, and in 2007 I reentered for school, reentered twice in 2008 after trip to Germany and Taiwan, and then reentered again in August 2009, so total is 7 times." The IO actually wrote down what I said on the paper.

Finally the invertiew was over. The IO told us that I'll get a conditional green card. He then said the reasons for issuing a conditional card is because our marriage has been less than a year, and because recently they found out there's a lot of fraudulent marriages; people file for divorce once they get green card.

He then handed me a customer guide and informing me to file I-751 w/ 90 days of card expiring. He even wrote it down on the back of that customer guide.

At 8pm, I got a txt message and email notifying "card production ordered"

Yeah~ :)

Yay! Congrats on your pass!

I spent the morning at the DMV, was in and out in 2 hours which wasnt too bad for no appointment and for doing my car registration too. Now I just have to make an appointment for my driven test and I'll be all good!

I am kinda worried that I haven't received anything from USCIS since the biometrics appt on March 17th =/ .. only touches on March 18th and that's about it. Should I be worried? I know it depends on office, but I don't think that you should be worried just because you didn't hear anything. I did my FP on 9th March. I got a touches on I 485 and I 765 on the 10th of March. That was the last thing that happened before and I got IL 12th April, just over a month later. I got my IL without the website even remotely indicating that it was on its way, and well I still haven't heard anything about my EAD. Everything will come very soon. I guess patience is the name of the game.

This is very comforting news. Last touch was on 03/23. Was wondering if they had sent an RFE that I hadn't received.

I even called USCIS and checked our case status. Yes, that's how neurotic I am.

Patience is really key.

I'm sure its just the USCIS, slow pokes. I haven't had a touch since 3/1 but i have received my interview letter - its the 20th April.. starting to get really nervous!!!! I am reassured by the two reviews the last couple of days, but i guess you cant help but worry till its done. Come on Tuesday! I'll be a wreck till then!!!! I am ####### with dates etc so all their trick questions will probably make it worse... but the waiting will be over!!

A whole lotta nothing for me.

Still no touches since the 3/23 for AOS and EAD and nothing since 3/3 for AP.

I think they're just not scanning it in anymore, because my AOS hasnt changed to the interview setting.
