POE Review:
Event Description
Entry Date : 2010-01-16
Embassy Review : My POE was in Dublin... as they do immigration there before you leave the country which is awesome, no stressing on plane before you get there!!

Honestly so smooth.. no queue, just walked up to the officer, Jon was with me and the guy asked Jon "are you family???" I answered "soon to be, I hope" he looked at my passport and laughed.. he was so nice, he put us at ease straight away, he said dont worry it will all be fine, no problems here, took my fingerprints and took me to the office, said I'd be called in a min - again assured us not to worry, and wished us the best of luck for the wedding.

We where called a min later the guy addressed Jon and just said "this is your last chance to back out mate" queue nervous laughter, but honestly a breeze.

Harassment Level : Low

Local US CIS Office Review: Kansas City MO
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : April 23, 2010
Embassy Review : Went in, past security (who had nothing better to do than quiz me on Ireland - what are the four provinces?? Jeez gimme a break as if I'm not nervous enough!) went in and put our letter in the box, and sat and waited. After about 30mins a stern looking guy came out and called us in.

We went into his office where he checked our I.d's and proceeded to ask a few questions, while checking them off the I-485, my names, date of birth, parents names etc, then asked all the check box questions.. Am I a terrorist etc?? After this he asked to see our marriage license, as he said it's missing from our file (huh??!? We def submitted it, as I was freakng out about having to wait on certified copies arriving!!!! So it seems they'd lost it-shocker) he then proceeded to ask us abouthe form I-130... where it was as he could t see it in the file, we responded saying we didn't file it as we didn't think we needed to on the K-1 visa.. He went away to ask about it we assume, he came back and said well I'm sure his is ok and we don't need it as we married with in 90days. So then after that he seemed like he was done with us, we offered to fill the form in then and there, but he said he didn't thnk we needed it, but he'd review our case and contact us if he needs further evidence. God dammit! So we asked if he wanted to see anything else photos etc, so he had a look, but he wasn't really bothered. He didnt look at any proof of living together married, bank statements... none of it.

He gave us a letter after, and checked the box saying "your form I-485 is currently under further review, you will be notified by mail of review results once it is completed"

he did say he thought he had everything he just wants to review the case and check a couple of things. Aggggggggh!!!!

On the plus side the following day i received a text update and the case has been approved!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoo!!!!

So overall, pretty ok, the guy was pleasant and helpful- just not sure why he thought we'd to file I-130. (I checked and it is only for K-3) He did his best to reassure us it would be ok. And it was. hoorah!
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
