IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

So anyways...

Riding my bicycle home after a night out was completely stupid. I took a corner too fast and too wide, my back tire clipped a tire of a parked car, the tire was at an angle facing into the street. Luckily I was with a pal who told me what happened next. I went head over azz over the handlebars and landed on the street with the bike on top of me. I got up, picked up my bike and walked the rest of the way home (1/2 block away). I kept saying I didn't need to go to the hospital until I got home and saw the blood running down my face.

Off we went to the emergency room, where the nurse said I had just sprained my arm. I insisted on xrays and sure enough I fractured the radial head in my left elbow, the xrays showed the fracture to be __ <--- that wide. I also had road rash all down my left side and had to get staples in my head. After many months in palm to armpit casts, the fracture refused to heal and I finally had surgery on it. They inserted pins & wires in it and did a bone graft from my hip to pack the fracture with.

I still have a huge scar, my arm still hurts, my range of motion and strength will never be perfect even after months of physio.

I'm lucky that I'm still alive or that I didn't have brain damage. Needless to say I've learnt my lesson, don't drink & ride.

BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

One of my worst nights was spent at a heaven and hell mixer in college. I was dressed as a fallen angel...and drank "Envy" all night which was champagne and creme de menthe...more than 4 of those are a BAD idea...

I fell alright...

ooooh oooooh I just thoguth of another good one. This one frat house that I frequented had a large stone ash tray on the front porch. I had rained all day and I was drunk at the party. I thought the ash tray was a stool - and I sat my happy azz RIGHT in the muddy, ashy water...HAHAHA

they renamed it the Asstray in my honor.

hahaha that doesn't sound like a winning combination.

Anyways, the first time I drank with my friends and got washted we were in my friends appartment and were going to go to the store to buy more booze so we were standing in the parking lot and my friend (who I shared a bottle of vodka with) spit water at me then hid so I couldn't see her and I for some reaon thought I saw her standing by another car so I took off runnning towards her in the parking lot and then she started running too then my sober friend asked me why I was chasing some random girl in the parking lot who no body knew... a big woopsies. Sorry to that girl.

Falling out of a cab (a black cab) in the middle of Soho and then being carted away in an ambulance because I ripped the tendons in my ankle has to be right up there for me. The ambulance crew were not amused, and rightly so

We would often have 3 legged pub crawls at Art School which would result in various injuries, but funnily enough no one could ever remember what happened :innocent:

Jayne, you're an art major? :star: What school?

I was wasted in Vancouver Canada and hungover the next day. I decided that jelly beans from the hotel vending machine would 'hit the spot'. I blew the entire bag across the bed. It 'was' colorful at least. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Tell me you didn't fall asleep on them and woke up with jelly beans stuck to you?

Not speaking from personal experience, mind you B)

Neither does 3/4 a bottle of vodka, some Capt Morgans, some undetermined lager, coffee, chocolate, and perhaps some fries from Wimpy Burgers. The word diabolical springs to mind. I remember a conversation regarding the merits of mint green thermals on a cold nite vs the standard grubby white ones.

Hmm. Then there was the time my friends and I went out on a She-Woman Man Hater's Club nite (the guys were on a He-Man Woman Hater's night. We of course went to an L-7 gig, where we proceeded to have men flex their arms and then turn around and bend over to show us their backsides (clothed of course, we weren't pigs :P )
