The paper says our relationship isnt real But if i havent learned anything from you guys i have learned to fight, so i have sent emails and called my senator and i will email everyday if have to. My boo said he had a chinese lady who asked him a lot of questions one being why we didnt marry when i came there? He told her my divorce was not final and i want my family to be at the wedding. She then asked him to tell her about my childhood which he could not because we have never discussed my childhood. My childhood is something i dont like talking about so i wouldnt have told him or many people at all. She asked him why he would want to marry someone my age (38-31) like there is a twenty year difference. He told her he loves me and my age doesnt have anything to do with it. My boo says while he was there she denied everyone that came before her. Im in a state of calm anger if anyone can understand that. Well just wanted to let you guys know what the outcome of today's interview was. The devil is a lie if he thinks its over. Be bless all.

I am also sorry to hear about that. My husband was also interviewed by a Chinese woman I wonder if that is the same one , he said she was tough and was denying alot of people. Although she passed him at that time but by the time he got home he had a phone call saying that he had to do another interview and that one didnt count. So dont give up . Keep the faith and you all shall overcome. Glory to GOD !

I didnt file for the k-1 til august 2009, my divorce was final in june 2009 i went to lagos in feb. 2009, so her question made no sense to him.

If your divorce isn't final you can't even file a fiance or spouse petition.

Yes she was very tough. She asked him what my hobby was and he said reading romance novels, she then asked him the name of the author which he couldnt answer, i mean not even the closes person to me could answer that because i read many books by different people. Its so crazy the things she asked him. I know it all will be done in GOD's time ty.

Contact the consulate and ask to speak to the head consulate or someone in authority. That is not a good enough reason for a denial. It is not fair to you. If you filed your petition Aug 2009 and divorced June 2009 you are legal to file.

I am soooo sorry to hear your news.

It is always heartbreaking when I hear that someone finally makes it to the interview to only find out that their ordeal is not over.

I have't read any of your previous posts but I'd like to ask a question about the proof of a relationship that you submitted. By any chance did you show any of the pics you have on VJ to the interviewer or any in that series to them?

LOL, Not bad pictures at all. Sorry I didn't expound on why I asked. I wondered if she thought the ring on his finger was a wedding ring and it prompted her to ask, in an indirect way, about getting married while you were there. They look at everything in the pictures and even who is in the background of the pictures with you and your SO. I hope all works out for both you pronto.

Sorry but red flags fly as marriages of a lady your age and a younger looking stud don't happen much in the US and abroad either unless there are other reasons than just love.

Nigeria also is at the top of the list for fraud.

Making another trip and showing more evidence of you guys having a bonafide relationship is a GOOD start.

I think Nigeria is in for a string of denials. I think that right after the holidays and late summers they tend to deny more often. That the the same officer that asked mine if his father died because he found out his son was marrying a white woman. She also wanted him to know what my deceased parents did for work. He laughed at her and told her dead people did nothing. She tried to turn it back against him saying he should know what they did and he laughed at her again and asked if she thought they would be returning to whatever. Having been down the denial and refiling route I kmow how stressful this is on you and the relationship. Hang on you will get together in time.

Its just unbelievable how the CO at the consulate can deny couples for unjustified reasons. Its crazy!!!!!Girl keep your head up. I share your frustration. Make sure to follow-up with your senators office as soon as possible.Please dont forget to pray to God for guidance. Has anyone in the month of December 2009-present get their visa approved? Its seems not. If so what are you guys secret.The CO's at the Lagos Consulate are playing Russian Roulette with inncocent couples.Its just not fair. This is just ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!
