I just ate chicken feet and gizzards last night for the very first time.

Does Jinky make adobo out of chicken hearts????hy husb made it before believe it or not it is not that bad, although I wouldnt go out of my way to request it for dinner...LOL

She hasn't yet, but her mom and dad are here with us, and it's her mom who's been doing most of the cooking. We had chicken liver the other day...I wasn't too fond of it. :P

I won't be having turkey for Thanksgiving this year. Instead, I'll be having Turkish kabab in Turkey. Might pick up some Turkish delights and baklava for dessert too.

OH! You lucky Turkey you! :P

Pairing up with another Indonesian/American couple for traditional Thanksgiving fare, split 50/50.

We were going the "Trinket" route, until convinced to join others. The already purchased Cornish game hens wil be roasted and happily consumed on Friday!

Wife surprised me by wanting to buy a turkey, this is strictly an American tradition. So looks like we will be cooking this Thursday. Peanut butter sandwich is fine for me, I don't live to eat, just eat to live. Maybe my wife's USC is going through to her head. Since my kids are scattered all over the place, we got together a couple of weeks ago for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner, was fun. Was my chore to bring the pumpkin pies, follow the recipe on a Libby's can without the ginger and cloves, but substitute fresh pumpkin instead, always a hit.

We just got a nine pounder, what we don't eat, our dog will certainly enjoy. Looked at a half of a turkey, price per pound was nearly doubled.

I am planning on spending 45 bucks on Black Friday, since my wife works at a hospital, they don't give the Friday after off, would think they should close down the hospital for Thanksgiving. But she did manage to get Thursday of this year.
