or can I use my chilean driver's license?

I really need to drive and I don't know what to do this whole thing is a little confusing :(

As long as you have filed for AOS and have the NOA1, your local DMV should accept that along with your SS#. If you have neither of those, you will definitely have to wait... :-(

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

Each state has different requirements for getting a drivers license. As suggested, you should check with the state DMV website that you will reside in once you get your K1 visa. Also, you should get your Social Security Number (SSN) within 14 to 75 days after you enter the US. Most states require a SSN and may only issue you a license for as long as your I-94 is good (i.e. 90 days after you enter the US).

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

Not necessarily. Different states have different laws. In NY, for example, you need a EAD or GC to get a DL. An NOA letter is not worth anything.

Varies by state. Check with your state DMV. My wife got a Vermont drivers lisence before she got her green card.

In some states the NOA1 from your AOS application is all that's needed to obtain a drivers' license valid for six months. Not all states require the SSN, but you already have yours, so you're OK.

The most important thing to have is your SS#... If you have that, then you can definitely get a drivers license... Check with your DMV state. I know CA requires SS#.

What state was this? Every state is required to receive evidence that the applicant is here legally, and being married is no such evidence. I am asking because I want Virginia to make its proof easier to get.
