Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 25, 2009
Embassy Review : Yaaa!!! Approved, we arrived 30 mins before our interview time, went to the 10th floor where i checked in my bag and phone, then straight up to the 59th floor, took a ticket from the machine and looked at the view while we waited our turn. First part was easy, just had to hand over the additional things like passport, 3kg satchel and visa receipts. waited again to be fingerprinted and then waited again for the nerve racking interview. The gentleman asked a few questions like where does my fiance live, what does he do for a living, when am i going over and do i have a wedding date yet! then asked my daughter if she was excited about starting school there and then he said the magic words ive waited sooo long to hear "your papers are in order and your visa is APPROVED!!" i couldnt believe it i even asked again to make sure lol!! my passport with the visa in it will be posted to me before the end of the week. The interview overall was easy and all done in an hour but most of that time was waiting (the actual interview was no more than 5 mins), everything went very smoothly no problems what so ever, and everyone was very nice and friendly. they said we ever very prepaired and i give thanks to everyone here on visa journey for that!!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
