Hello Everyone!

Can anyone tell me when can I send I-129F form? :help:

I just received a notice that is saying that my I-130 form and package was received. Can I send I-129F now, or should I wait until I get I-130 form approved?

I am a little lost.

Thank you,

Best,

Olesya

Sorry, I know that I have misspelled the title, but I have no idea how to fix it now, cause I am new to this website.

Hi Olesya,

Is there some reason that you are filing for the K-3 instead of the CR-1? The service centers are typically approving both at the same time, so there's no longer a time advantage.

Hopefully an organizer can get you into the right section soon and get some better answers.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

More detailed time line in profile.

I think that the K-3 visa process is faster, and we can take the further steps while living in the US. I don't if I am wrong, but it seems true. And, as I read about it most people prefer that way.

I don't know, now I am even more lost

K3 is faster only by one or two weeks, really. It is also about $800 more expensive to file that way.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

So, should I just stop now, and wait until they approve my I-130 form, and then follow the rest instructions?

I would say yes. But as NB said, it's entirely up to you.

When we applied K-3s were being processed 6-8 weeks AFTER the Cr-1s. So if you look at it that way, no it is not faster.

Good luck. Stick with the Cr-1

There's lots of old information out there but since November 2006, USCIS has been processing the two petitions together and with rare exceptions, approving them the same day. My advice is never to file an I-129F for a spouse.
