Copied from other posts ..

About the ..

USCIS Bronx, 1827 Weschester ave, Bronx, NY

They don't care about your original date if the date is not expired.

I went a month earlier and they accepted .

Go there on weekdays ( but Monday is closed ) early in the moring.

I went there at 9am and very few people were there and it took me only a half hour.

Don't go there on Saturday at noon. It was so crowded and it took me THREE HOURS to get done.

What about getting in the front door of building? How did you get past security guards at entrance, I mean did they ask you what you were doing there or ask to see any documents or did they just let you walk in through metal detector and search area and then on in? Details please.

No security metal detector , just a security guy and I just told him, If I can have biometric, and I show the appointment letter, and then he gave me some paper that I need to fill up. After I filled it up, he wanted me to wait on the line until they call my name. They called my name within 1 minute, and the finger print process begun, just about 5-7 minutes, then done :D

Thanks Lucky Star.

Just got back from ST LOUIS USCIS office(ASC office and all other offices are in same building location @ 1222 Spruce Street). Was able to go through front door entrance with NO ONE asking to see a infopass letter or biometric appointment letter or what we were doing there. All that happened was that we walked through security checkpoint immediately at door entrance to the left hand side, got checked or scanned or wanded, then got given white visitor sticker pass to put on our shirts, then headed straight to ASC room 1.208 which is 30-40 feet to your right once you go through Security checkpoint at front door. Waltzed right in ASC door, there was no one in there waiting, went to counter asked for early biometric from ladies at counter and was told YES, no problem and then clipboard with form to fill out and then done with picture and prints next, all told, took about 5-7 minutes or less. Done on 9/21/2009 @ 8:10 am.

Thanks CountryBoy! I will check them out on the web and see where exactly are they.

I noticed we have very similar timelines, have you received your appointment for biometrics? Here is my problem, I will make a separate post and see what people think: I am leaving on Friday morning for 2 weeks on an international trip. I was hoping to get my biometrics notice and do a walk-in... but so far we have not received it yet. I am afraid I will miss it if the note arrives while we are gone. I was thinking of going tomorrow morning (after mail man delivers) and explain my situation... it is a try and maybe I will be lucky...

My wife hasn't gotten her bio letter yet, but for some odd reason a member whose NOA was dated 10 days after my wifes received his bio letter today... looking at past timelines I am not late, he is just very, very early .. I guess anything is possible.

You can't get the bio done without the appointment letter for sure .. if it gets there tomorrow then go for it OR if you are leaving late enough on Friday and the letter arrives that would work too, however just showing up without the letter is out of the question.

Even if you don't do your bio until you get back then you'll only be 2 weeks later in the entire process. To be honest with you, chances are your actual bio appointment will probably be scheduled for a date after you return anyways..

Good luck to you and hopefully the link I sent earlier has information that can help you out...

I had not tried to go for a Early Biometrics, but every time I went to Jacksonville, FL, the Security personnal was very stricted about the time and persons going with you. They did not let us go 15 min before our appoinment never, and a lot of people was turn back because they were too early. I guess that early biometrics depends on the office. I do not think my office let you do it early.

My appointment time was 11 AM, and due to logistics, I was in Boston shortly before 8 AM and right near the ASC.

Not wanting to wait around I went into the ASC. I had to wait until all the 8 AM people did their biometrics. I was put in a special section with this other guy who was a day early or something. They were somewhat miffed and said that I had to come in at the correct time, next time.

So anyways, it worked out, wasn't a long wait maybe 40 minutes or so, and I just faced a bit of hostility.

I did a walk-in yesterday in Atlanta. I arrived at 10:30. Showed my letter to the guard who let me straight in. I was the only person outside when I went up.

Inside there were maybe 15 people in total. When processing my paperwork, the 'agent' remembered me & said hopefully 3rd time will be the charm. I agreed!

I had my picture taken & that was that. No fingerprints this time, again.

I was in & out in 15 minutes, tops. Actually the fastest I have had biometrics done & it makes me wish I had done walk-ins before.

Good luck :star:

I did a walk-in biometrics for my I-751 last year, September 2008, in Buffalo, NY.

This is a bit of a silly question, but this seems like a good thread to ask it in, considering it relates to Biometrics. Hubby is scheduled for 10.2.09, which isn't a problem since the office is close (sometimes it's nice to live in such a small state!). But he wonders if they'll also take a new picture for his ten year green card. He looks like he's criminally insane in his first green card and would like an opportunity to look less scary.
