Case status not showing up online !

Well i just got my NOA-1 but when a i check my case status online i get this message

" Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283. "

has any one else got this message? or problems viewing there case status online?

Happens Often Apparently (I didn't have that problem though)

Just give it a few days and try again. It seems most people who can't, can then see their cases online after the bio appointments

I have the same problem. I recieved noa 1 on june 30 and still cannot see my status. I called customer service and he advised me that i just recieved my noa 1 and there is nothing to see but he would send my info to the help desk. This happen about 2 weeks ago and i still cannot see nothing. I am also soooooo frustrated and I just got started If any one finds the secret please let me know !!

Whilst I didn't have that problem a few people who filed at the same time as me did and they found, that like JennandMike said, it showed up the day after their biometrics appointment.

i wont b havin a biometrics appointment...well im not sure what dat is. i filed the I130 for iimigrant visa for my spouse. and my spouse is abroad. its been over 2 weeks since i got NOA1, but still the case hastn appeared online. does it take this long...?

Some cases never appear online, or if they do, they are never updated. Our I485 never even showed up online until a week after we were approved, and our I130 still says pending, and at this point I assume it always will. Don't worry about it too much, I know it's a pain to not be able to find your status, but as long as you are getting mailings when you should be, you're ok.

You are exactly right. As another recent example, Tania's I-485 still doesn't show up online, and her interview is scheduled for later this month. And that's just the most recent example I could cite with our VJ. There doesn't seem to be any real consistency nor rhyme or reason.....so don't exert yourself looking for any!

thx for all the replies. now im jes waitin for noa2... do people actually have to wait 5 months to get noa 2 or is it les than dat?

Definitely this...as you can see from our timeline Dennis has long had his AP, EAD, and GC in hand...all three still show pending on the website. I understand the frustration, hopefully it shows up soon!
