All set for my interview(almost)

Well my interview is on Monday and i am starting to get butterflies. Thinking of all possible outcomes and naturally getting excited and anxious. Soon i will be home. It has been a long time coming and so i can not wait to call my wife and tell her the news.

I do not expect any problem. I just have to finish off the DS230 part 2 and put all my paperwork in something that i can carry easily. I guess i will take evidence of our relationship even though we are married as it is best to be prepared i guess.

I am posting this for myself really. Just telling myself what i have to do. I will be so relieved when it is over.

I just wish i had my plane ticket booked and i wish i had a response on my mortgage and other stuff i won`t go into.

So yeah woohoo almost over.

What should i do after calling my wife with the news? Assuming it is good news.

23rd February 2005 Married.

10th May 2005 I130 packet sent to TEXAS forwarded to Cali.

12th May 2005 NOA1 Received date.

14th May 2005 delivered at 4:34 am LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607.

23rd May 2005 NOA1 notice date.

27th May 2005 NOA1 hits the mailbox.

13th August 2005 po po form mailed off with £10 cheque.

2nd September 2005 po po letter arrives.

3rd September a 4 week visit to GA assuming i get allowed in.

30th september 130 days on I130 and counting.

(Hopefully i finally get a wedding ring today too)

30th November NOA2 date. woohoo

January 2006 case arrives at NVC finally(not sure about exact date)

17th February 2006 IV bill mailed back

21st April case complete (sorry i have missed some dates of forms going back and forth)

2nd May case forwarded to Embassy in London

10th July 2006 visa interview 10.30 a.m.

04/16/2009 - I guess I can lay down and sleep now ?

07/16/2009 - 3 months later...... nothing... oh well

07/21/2009 - Card production ordered w/o interview again :) !! woohooo

07/22/2009 - Touched

07/30/2009 - Card is here !

01/28/2019 - Notice of receipt in the mail

02/01/2019 - Biometrics notice in the mail

Good luck with that. The interview will be fine, just don't offend the CO by telling him his soldier daddy's a dumbass :P

Good luck Yabasta, long time over due. As far as what you should do after you call your wife, go shopping for the Americans because you have to come baring gifts. :thumbs: All I want is some choccies pleassssse! :lol:

Thank you all very much. I think it is important to live alongside people who you might not agree with on all issues. Not speaking my mind would make me a fraud to myself and not the kind of person i want to be though. If i am attacked for my views i will continue to stand up for those views. I can handle being a minority and soon i shall be a big minority in a land of aliens. woo.

All the best for a short, sweet, simple interview experience -- I'm sure you come through with flying colors !

By the way I always enjoy reading your posts, and have agreed with many of the points you have tried to make. Even if you say things that ruffle some feathers, you try to stay on-topic and generally try to respond calmly, usually without stooping to some of the pettier behavior and with a decent amount of respect to those expressing opposing opinions. :thumbs:
