Between my daughter's illness and my asthma I've missed what I consider a significant amount of work lately. Although protected under FMLA I've been worried about it.

Well this morning my supervisor called me into her office and there I went sweating bullets sure I had had it.

We close the door and she informs me that....

I'VE BEEN PROMOTED!!!!!!!!! Ahead of many who have been doing the same thing longer than I have even. I'm supposed to understand that FMLA keeps those absenses from counting against me :P My performance though outside of that has been exempliary(sp) and they felt that I had addressed any things they felt needed improved at my last review.

December 6, 2005 - Medical Appt Much confusion and lack of communication by Physicians caused much delay :(

June 1 - APPROVED!!!!!

June 7 - Steve Arrived home

Oh yeah, this was so unexpected. Last review they had only found 2 deficiencies in my performance, both had to do with me being a bit to hard headed (forming my opinions about the problems without listening openly enough) They have been tracking my calls since and felt I had overcome this...which I have...and that put me right up there. I wasn't even due for a review yet so this was a shocker!

I feel so good right now I'm just bouncing off the walls :)

Thanks still working on that, keep hoping she wont' have to be scoped we've done just about everythign else we can to track this down. Current diagnosis is holding at IBS.
