I have been touched 11 times since June 19th including today.

See, that's the mistery, why do they keep touching you if you're already approved? That's why I definetly think some updates are automatic!

Maybe there are packing it up to ship to NVC dunno

They do, sometime they send me 3 or 4 at a time.

They only e-mailed me to let me know the IMBRA RFE was on its way and then to let me know that they received it. Maybe those were the only important updates

Hey I noticed on your signature it says approved.. does that mean you got your NOA2? I am just really curious now.

No case statue says approved July 3 and letter was sent...hoping it is in the mailbox today....I'll keep you posted

The only way we will know the usefulness of touching, is when CSC starts kicking out some NOA-2's. Until then, it is all speculation.

Yep, they will only send you an email or update the message on your online status when they are doing something significant with your case. At any other time when you see dates change on your online status this can be for any number of reasons, as Jen said. Some of them will lead to something significant, some will just be eg be being moved from one pile to another.

Many get their approvals etc without ever seeing any changes on their online status or receiving emails. Others get a multitude of emails etc. Sometimes they update...other times they dont.

A touch could be something as simple as moving it from one pile to another and as good as a final approval. Who knows what is going on until you get that one last touch with the email that says " your petition has been approved"!

Okay got touched again today,

Yesterday, I was touched early and then later received update showing that my RFE was received. The update came in late in the day but the touch happened first thing in the morning. Now waiting to see what happens today.
