How often is the case status information on this site updated? One of the million questions running through our blood all day, 24 hours a day seven days a week :lol:

Most of us are celebrating seeing our case being touched. Some are mad because touched do not mean anything to them. As I keep surfing in the internet finding the answer to our questions...here it is...TOUCH MEANS SOMETHING and we have reason to celebrate!

This was not the mystery... it's common knowledge.

The mystery is WHY some are touched... some receive no touches at all and they are approved. There is no 'reason code' attached to a touch, so it will always be a mystery.

Good for you for doing your own research though.

May 25' 07 received RFE for I-693 and immunization supplement...UUugggghh

Jun 1 '07 2nd biometrics appt.

June 9 '07 sent RFE back via USPS priority mail

June 12 '07 RFE received at Laguna Niguel

June 22 '07 received email saying CSC got our RFE and processing resumed on our case

July 7 '07another RFE for TB skin test

July 25 '07 received email saying letter welcoming new permanent resident was mailed

Touches could be for any reason... actual WORK on the case or simply moving the file from one pile to another... there's no pattern, they don't 'mean anything' because being touched or not does not imply the speed at which a case is progressing. It just is what it is.

They seem to comfort those who get them, but those who don't should not get discouraged.

See, that's the mistery, why do they keep touching you if you're already approved? That's why I definetly think some updates are automatic!

How often will I receive e-mail about changes to applications within my portfolio?

If you elect to receive automated e-mail notification of case status changes, an e-mail message will be sent to you each time the status of the case is updated.

Hmmm, now is that really true?

May 2, 2006 - NOA1

June 1, 2006 - Transferred to CSC

June 14, 2006 - Notice from CSC it was transferred

June 30, 2006 - Received IMBRA RFE (CSC)

July 5, 2006 - Touched (RFE Received)

July 31, 2006 - APPROVED

August 5, 2006 Physical NOA2

August 15, 2006 NVC Received and Sent

August 22, 2006 AIT sent Packet 3

August 22, 2006 Packet 3 got lost in the mail... sending another.. :( :( :(

I didn't get emails with any of my touches. Only when the status of my case changed.

Thats right, you only get an email when the status changes. Not with touches.
