Just trying to see if anyone experienced this...after waiting and waiting to get our NOA2 [ thank GOD it came when it did, i know others are still waiting ] our case is now at NVC. funny thing is, i got a letter from NVC last week that said our case would be forwarded to the consulate within a week. I thought-Great! things are moving fast now. but maybe i spoke too soon. when i call them now- NVC says our case is undergoing further additional processing and there is no time limit on when it would be completed. i checked other timelines and usually the case is at NVC only a few days, if that. sometimes it goes out the next day. i'm starting to get worried why ours might take longer. not freaking out yet- it hasnt been a week yet but i wanted to know if anyone else had their case stay at NVC awhile. this process is SOOO frustrating! its like some kinda sick game- you struggle to get past one obstacle[ getting the NOA2 ] only to be met by others [ NVC, interview, POE ]

I'm sorry you seem to be stuck. Pinned at the top of this forum is a link to a thread of those that are or have been stuck at NVC for AP (additional processing). You'll see some worst case scenarios (months and months of waiting) and you'll see some that were only a week or less. You may want to jump in that group and see if they can help you out.

as the guys said above

u r on AP ...it can take from 10-60 days in most cases ..

thats a routine for NVC ( and we never know why they even waste our time with them ) but thats the fact

so dont worry abt it ...as they r done it will be forwarded to the Embassy

so just relax and wait ur Interview letter

Good Luck

add me to the list as well.......

received the letter, got the consulate number.....

but it hasn't left NVC......I'm in AP, and no time frame is given.

I asked, how can you send out a letter with a blatent lie? ( the letter doesn't say if you pass the name check ) it says your case will be forwarded within a week!

That annoyed me too. It says approved and forwarded and that isn't necessarily the case. NVC cant deny either, so I never understood why they do this.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I am so upset. I called NVC to see if our case has been forwarded too..and told it was pulled for AP. THE MOST frustrating part is not only will they not clarify what exactly this means, but there is NO time frame...meaning they can take as much time on it as they damn well please. Our K1 was going through just peachy...then this. I feel like my heart is breaking!

I cannot help but wonder what kind of hassle I would go through to immigrate to Holland. It HAS to be less than THIS B.S.

Does anyone know if calling an elected official can help with this? I am just beside myself with worry now. We were planning our wedding, now I don't want to even do that because who KNOWS when that will ever happen.

I'm sure they can not give a time frame as they would be checking things out and who knows how ong it will be. I'm in AP too and now we just wait. At least it is not at USCIS naymore... there is always a positive side. it will be over one day!

I'm sorry to say that at this stage there is nothing they can do ..we tried that, not knowing back then it wouldn't help.

yes, but this can't be much better than USCIS. At least at USCIS they have a deadline, here there is no timeframe. Just the big black hole.......seems like more and more people are getting sucked into it....

Actually, you can almost set your watch by AP at NVC. It was 52 days, but lately it has been closer to around 30.

NO ONE has gone any longer than 53 days.

On the other hand..USCIS posts timeframes that are retro active "as of___"(2 months prior to the current month).

I know it sucks but NVC is really more predictable than sh!tty VSC ;) Did you find our pinned "AP at NVC" thread in this forum? There are lots of people who have been in your shoes and offer support and knowledge (F)

i hope the newer batch of AP people get out earlier and closer to 30 days.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Maybe now that it's been going on since at least the end of last year, well for K1's anyway, they are getting better at it, and can hurry the heck up already!

I was a 53 dayer

I was stuck at NVC back at the time cdneh and Lisa were, my wait was 50 days.

You may want to check the AP@NVC statistics page ... click the link in my signature. Named it in honor of my honey "Thanti's List". Think of it like Igors list, but for those waiting AP@NVC.

And do check out the community thread Lisa pointed you to.... it's the home of AP@NVC community on VJ.
