I was approved for an employment-based GC on 1999/12/13 at Montreal Consulate, and activated the packet at Dorval's PFI the same day (receiving I-551 stamp) and was told to worry only if I didn't receive the plastic card in one year (actual date received, 2000/02/05). yeah call USCIS...he should have received it by now if you filed for it...

Definitely check on that...it took about 4 weeks to get ours.

there is a delay in green card processing by 8 weeks from the day it was ordered to be produced. your welcome letter should have the production order date. if he entered the country in april, he will idealy not get it until end of july. this is on the USCIS website as an alert.

In my case, my wife hasn't got her welcome letter either (it's been a month) so I called USCIS this morning and they told me to fill out AR-11 which is change of address form to make sure it goes to the right address. Isn't it a little bit strange?

If you have not moved, yes. I'd call again and ask to speak to a supervisor.

I am in the same boat as you we entered on the 19th of April and still have no recvd the GC. I immediately contacted the USCIS @ exactly 4 weeks to confirm the card was in route after not receiving the welcome letter. Well let me tell you # 1 spent literally 2 hours on the phone speaking to people who had no clue about their own processes and was told different stories by multiple reps ranging I wasn't suppose to recvd a GC to the Visa is his GC WTH? to we don't have a record of your Husband...... Well finally I was able to escalate to a manager who was helpful and told me there is an issue with your Husbands paperwork" Don't be alarmed but it has been misplaced" He told me that he would investigate and to call back within a weeks time and if it had not been resolved to schedule and Infopass appointment. Within and week and half I recvd the welcome letter last week with confirmation that the GC would be recvd in 10 business days.

So you should definitely call the USCIS immediately and don't take any foolishness either and never be afraid to escalate. Good Luck

Hi Everyone,

For those of you still waiting for their green cards....

a ) Do an inquiry with the mis-information USCIS line

b ) Make an infopass appointment (and get an temporary I-551 stamp in the meantime)

c ) Call your congressperson/senator (last resort...)

d ) Keep on posting on VJ! (the only way to get through this madness/insanity of the waiting process...)

Options a-d helped me (I was approved for my I-751/10yr green card in April 2009, but didn't get my card until June 2009.)

Thanks for your suggestion. Strangely though I received a welcome notice today, dated 6/11 when I made the call! Well at least I know it is processed now.
