Consulate Review: Indonesia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 23, 2009
Embassy Review : I went with my wife first thing in the morning for fingerprinting. After waiting for about 1 hour they called my wife to Locket 1. The CO is nice young American guy that spoke pretty good Bahasa. I asked him whether I can join my wife in the interview, he smiled and say sure you can.
I stand quietly behind my wife and listen to the questions.
First he asked when and where you were met.
Second question he asked how many times I visited my wife.
Third he asked for our pictures.
That's it, he then said you've got the visa please pick up in 3 days, he even wish us well living in America. Good guy!
Thanks to God everything went well.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Los Angeles
Event Description
Entry Date : 2009-05-07
Embassy Review : The first officer obviously have not processed first time immigrants since she direct us to secondary room. After sitting in secondary room the officer direct her outside without questioning. My wife then got fingerprinted, we were told to sit down and after about 30 minutes an officer approached and gave her passport with welcome letter and I-551 stamp. I then asked the officer whether we can go to Canada with her I-551 stamp. There were obviously a lot of officer in training that day since he went and ask his supervisor. We have little conversation about using green card to travel to Canada and Mexico and after making some jokes and laughing together they said welcome to US and say goodbye.
So other then a slight delay, the POE experience has been OK.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
