Hey does someone what to comment i heard from a Customer Service Worker at the USCIS.

She said "The USCIS has a system that works! Trust them it works and they have many Happy Customers".

I cant believe they say that because it is large government corporation of 17,000 people that have wasted money without updating there processes to make the process of immigration FASTER. Everyone knows that your User Fees it used to fund the USCIS. Your User Fees that have increased dramatically the past years will be used to update the system that other people with benefit from in the future.

I personally cant fathom a HAPPY CUSTOMER of the USCIS. Maybe a relieve customer that is glad the IMMIGRATION POLICE is finally stop dragging there feet and allowed them to bring there fiance to the US. GIVE ME A BREAK USCIS. I think an appropriate think for the USCIS to do is remove the S from the title of this department since SERVICE is not what they do!

Please comment.

There doing OK by me.

Very happy and satisfied.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

There, Bobby?

USCIS hasn't bugged me yet. I'm pissed at NVC (delayed 50 days for AP) and Bangkok embassy which after more than a month can't even give us a date for when we should expect to get the date of our interview. That's DOS for you.

I personally believe that the system is slow for a reason, if cases were approved overnight than everyone and there dog would do it. The length of time makes people really think about if this is what they want before they invest lots of time and money into the process.

If the USCIS actually had time managment problems then the processing times would increase over the years as the backlog became bigger and bigger (ie. fewer applications being processed daily than received). Instead the processing time holds steady which tells me the goverment wants it to take that long.

Our only complaint so far is that we wish it would be faster, but it went faster than we'd ever dreamed, so I can't say that we have a personal beef with USCIS.

Based on our experience alone and not on others reported service, we are happy customers.

Hey this is good because i want to hear good and bad comments.

I agree with the comment about the time line being the same throughout the years. I also think the government want to take so time to completely make a decision but we should also have the accelerated or preferred charge like business have when filling the I129 for an employee. Actually now the time line seems to be less after the large 2007 influx.

I am truly happy for the happy customers but being the United States has automated its IRS system and social security system, i feel they should do more to reduce the paperwork in the immigration process and have on-line application processing and at least payment by Credit card.

Now i still think there i much to be said about the process and basically no technology except a web page that really shows no changes until someone actually looks at your case.

Keep Commenting or vent

 Yeeeee hawww! I was worried but now that I know it works and we are happy, I am so relieved. Maybe now they will update my petition to "approved" since my wife has been here more than 8 months!

Count me as one of those happy customers!

my complaint is with the Embassy in how they actually handle cases. We went into AP and they did not provide any information as to why. They also sent our petition back to USCIS as returned and recommended it be revoked. All without providing any information - saying the information was "confidential". That's funny whoes information is being protected - ours or theirs? They should at least communicate with the applicant at every step of the process so information can be corrected on the spot if necessary...

Now I'm told by USCIS that it will take them up to 4 months to review the returned petition before making a decision. And that's after they get it back from the Embassy which could take up to 2 to 3 months. What a joke...

I must agree with Bobby.

USCIS could be faster. However, AOS took me about 70 days without any problems / delays.

Removal of conditions was done in about 5 months. The AR-11 filing was immediately acknowledged by mail, the Green Card arrived few days after approval etc. So far only their backlog has been in the way, but not their professional handling of what they actually did on my file. Regardless, I fully understand everybody who has to vent over this waiting process. I am impatient myself and know how it can feel.

All the best to you all! :star:

I have to say that so far I am happy with USCIS. We waited for alot less time than we expected, but not complaining! I feel like though that the online case status system needs to be improved because my I-129F was approved in March, but it still says "received and pending." There are people who have called USCIS and received NOA2's and the customer service agents are baffled when they see received and pending and the caller is saying they already received their NOA2. What I am not happy about is the length of time people have waited due to security checks and FBI name checks, probably out of USCIS control. It makes me sad to hear of cases like Sara's, some idiot at USCIS did not sent out and RFE and her case sat collecting dust, absolutely grounds for reprimand! Anyways, thats my opinion.

I've got mixed feelings, to say the least. It's been a long process but I'd say they've been good with me, even though my AP was horrible. At my interview, the guy told me it could take about six months, but I actually was called back there because of concerns to do with my family (whom I'm estranged from). The officer was really reassuring and said I'd be out of it before the end of May, and while it didn't seem that way, I was out of AP technically on the 24th of April -- my letter arrived on the 30th. I feel awful for people who are stuck in AP for much longer without any apparent end, and I hope they'll be out of it soon...I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

The officer also said I should get my visa in about three working days, which was reeeeeally off since it took a few days longer -- but a lot of people experienced that over here because of the bank holiday backlog. DOS also gave me some misleading information and said I was processing when I called them earlier in the week to find out where my passport was @_@ I nearly had a heart attack because I thought that meant I was still in AP, and another representative told Knight that it was no guarantee I'd get my visa even though the letter had stated clearly that they had received security clearance. It more or less went as the officer told me it would, and that when they made the request for my passport, it would be that and a visa that would be coming back to me.

The process is certainly emotionally draining -- I didn't receive my NOA2 for about four months or so. It was made horrible for me mostly because of issues with my family and general final-year stress. In terms of the bureaucracy, I know it could have been a lot worse. I'm going to stop writing before my rambling evolves into an essay; I've written enough of THOSE in the last three years . Gawd my writing is off today.

In conclusion: It works...but it could be better, especially for those who've been forgotten in the process or have been stuck in AP for an eternity. I can kinda imagine why that would be in certain countries, though; it must be pretty difficult to retrieve documentation where a proper bureaucratic process isn't in place or is shoddy to begin with. This is especially so when documents could be tampered with or are missing, or haven't even been filed. This always makes it difficult for the people who are relying on it.

Magpie.
