What are the top countries where people get put on AP?

these countries are the countries that are suspecious and accused of high fraud rate (marrying for the purpose of violating he immigration only )

these countries are AND not limited to : countries that have high annually immigrations like : Phili, China , India , vitenam,

Most but NOT all arabic muslims countries and come first : Pakistan , Iran , Algeria , Morocco ,Egypt take place too

but as we say ..every case is different ..and even what the officer had on his/her breakfast may play a rule :)

Good Luck and try to have peace and Faith

Other countries which have been left out are-- Nigeria, West Indies, Columbia.

Basically any country whose per capita income is way less than USA and also the countries US see as potential terrorist threats. That's why a lot of background check goes for people coming from Islamic countries.

Age difference, previous divorce, financial position won't matter if the couple belongs to alliance countries :P

Gender also plays the role, a male from Pakistan is almost bound to put under AP compared to female from Pakistan. And it alters if the beneficiary is from Philippines, a male will more likely get a faster clearance compared to a female from Phil.

i do agree for both comments above ....

i mentioned some but not ALL the countries as im stating by saying (not limited to )

well , names play also rules on the checks ..if u have familiar name it take longer cz there will be alot of matches on their system for ur name ..rather than having a unique name ...and gender play a rule i do agree as Trinket said .

Back ground are ran on both petitioner and beneficiary, but is mainly concentrated on beneficiary. U.S. is more interested in beneficiary and their back ground.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Hi Trinket,

You wrote "financial position won't matter if the couple belongs to alliance countries" I'm just curious as to how you know this? My Wife and I have no money saved and i'm worried about it. I'm Australian and we are U.S allies.

Sam.

Financial position of USC always matter, because he/she has to provide with i-864 or else get a joint sponsor. What I meant was financial position of Beneficiary won't really matter..........say someone from Australia itself living in a very poor condition won't be asked that many questions compared to someone from India with almost the same kind of poverty ridden background.

Also money saved isn't the base out here, but the question is does your wife earn 125% of poverty line in her household.
