ahhhhhhhh....... good news again!!!

I just called DOS, and they are going to remove my I-601 Waiver from the system.. they say they were about to send it out, but I guess the DD had something to say about it.. :thumbs: more news to come though.. hopefully with the removal of the waiver, we should get approved?? :dance: :dance:

That's great!!!! :thumbs:

When you get your approval and your wife gets over here, you should send the DD a letter thanking him and maybe include a pic of you and your wife...it seems like, despite not enjoying being bothered, he has gone out of his way to help (after so much time, someone should have).

I'm probably going to send him a huge gift.. $1000 gift card or something like that.. hey, that is way cheaper than going back to China again.. what do you think? haha, this is not a bribe.. I never mentioned to him before, only to my wife.. this is a big life changing result and I want to thank him a lot.. if it comes true :thumbs: a lot of things other people wouldn't have done.. like the letters and how I wrote to him.. He told me to stop, and I wouldn't.. and I still won't until we get approved and we can be together everyday..

Erm, I think I'd stay away from $ - he probably can't accept it anyway (in my company we can't accept gifts of more than $25 value - if ony to avoid a perception of impropriety).

But a heartfelt letter promising never to email him again would probably be worth more than $$ anyway :devil:

Any gift to a governemnt employee is a NO NO. Even in my job position, I cant een give a fellow CPB officer a box of christmas cookies, it could be considered as bribery!!! A nice thatnk you note will do the job!!

If I were you, I would enjoy a nice few days at some remote island with my wife for that amount of money. Why give cash or gift, when few nice words do the trick.

If you still insist you want to do something with those $1000 dollars, please give it someone who needs it , like me :P i will put it on a real good use by spending sometime at a beach.......:):)

I just called DOS, and they are going to remove my I-601 Waiver from the system.. they say they were about to send it out, but I guess the DD had something to say about it.. :thumbs: more news to come though.. hopefully with the removal of the waiver, we should get approved?? :dance: :dance:

If I were you, I would enjoy a nice few days at some remote island with my wife for that amount of money. Why give cash or gift, when few nice words do the trick.

If you still insist you want to do something with those $1000 dollars, please give it someone who needs it , like me :P i will put it on a real good use by spending sometime at a beach.......:):)
