I'm probably going to move back at the end of the year, or beginning of next year.. it doesn't mean I won't continue the process though.. just we are going to submit whatever we need this time.. FOIA Request/I-601/another lawsuit and just wait it out.. think of it as a final attack for our visa case.. haha, I figure something wasn't right on our case.. but last time I could do something because I wrote letters to the FBI for the security checks.. but this time, I need to wait for the denial notice to see what is up, then I can do a lot more research to fight it.. I think their reason is more on the "ineligibilities" now.. I read somewhere it is called "misrepresentation" or something like that.. like others (and I) have said before: " We may have lost the battle, but the war is not over yet"..

They haven't official denied me yet.. I didn't receive an official notice.. I just called DOS this week to see what's up, and the first person told me to expect a waiver for her soon.. so I called again (and again) to confirm and ask more about whether it was I-212 or I-601.. one person said it was most likely the I-601.. so the lawyer told me to wait for the official notice and see what the real reason is this time..

hi gogo, this is joe from miami florida, i also filed a wom for my fiancee, our case has taken over 1.5 years to be processed. i cant believe that they are doing this to you, my heart goes out to you and your wife. we are currently waiting for the govertment to answer to our lawsuit. our attorney has already sent the initial complaint letter to the us attorney. hey gogo, stay strong and keep the faith, you may have lost this battle, but the war is far from over. if i was you, wait for your wife to get the documents from the dos to know exactly what the status of the case is, after, fill out the waiver and send it in, i think this is the better option. but i still think that your case has not been denied, otherwise, they would of told your wife at the interview. be carefull and be cautios in your next move, there something here that is not making any sense. good luck buddy and stay strong.

GOGO...

I need to ask this question, I am sure you've been asked a million times before and I am sorry for this but...

What is the reason that all your processing took so long? What happened? I see that now you've got to file a waiver but your wife's never been in the US before? This makes no sense.

If you don't mind, if you have time, could you please give me the short version as to why this is taking you so long? I feel bad for you but it also makes me worry too that the USCIS just sometimes does away with people's files and then you can't get anything done no matter what you do.

It's sort of scary.

Thanks a lot and I wish you the best in getting this sorted out.

Morning everyone. Hey Courtney is it just MY mena guy or do they seem to not like much color on the walls?? My husband's family's aparment is ALL off-white. He of course has seen my bedroom on webcam which happens to be a chocolate brown. It looks great cause my room is huge with tray ceiling. He said, "it is not suitable color for bedroom". So I would like to paint it before he gets here but it was a b*tch to paint cause of the ceiling.Sigh....

How about a lighter color? Maybe he just doesn't like the bold, dark colors. My MENA husband says do as you wish...so I gave him the option of green or purple, he chose dark purple...

Mohand will faint when he see our bedrom it is 100% girlie, curtains, comforter, wallpaper, stenciling, frilly, lace, the whole 9 yards. LOL

Wall paper is floral, has some purple, pink and yellow in it,, curtains are a med purple, and comforter pillow sham and etc matches the wallpaper.

hey Paris, I'm not in MENA hehe but our walls at home is all off-white too.. of course, some days they look more dirty white... eh but that's beside the point. I asked my dad if we could paint my room different color but he said the weather is too hot, if we put darker shade it will be way too hot and stuffy.

that's his take on the off-white walls. sometimes we put in a tint of blue... barely discernable but mostly every time we paint the house it's in white.

Kenza, I can’t stand it when Ahmad says….. as you wish, as you like, or what you think is good….

I think I got the point across on the last trip. Every time he would ask me if I wanted something I said “sure”. It drove him up a wall. After two days of it he finally said say yes or no …. HEHEHE

Now when I ask a question I get a straight answer, unless it’s about what do you want for dinner. Then it’s the classic ohhh what do you want no what do you want … but that’s with every relationship.

Hmmm about paint… every room in the house is different, and the husband will probably not like that very much but ummmm if he wants to change it we are going to do it together when he gets here.

Ahhh, when it comes to paint I am the queeeen. I love to do anything involving color. My living room is fau painted a brick red and dark cherry on three walls. The forth wall is warm vanilla and milk chocolate fau paint. The kitchen is vanilla above the chair rail and milk chocolate below the railing. And I have a Victorian stencil above and below the rail.

Bathroom is tan now and intent is to put a green with gold hughed glaze over it. Girl’s room is a pretty teal with more blue than green… I should post pictures on face book so you ladies can take a peak.

Lol sorry if you can’t tell I really love to paint and talk about it too…. 

Beth, you will have time to change the room if you want to… lol but maybe you should wait for hubby to get here so you don’t make it more girly without realizing it.

Alright I am getting off my kick now.

Yeah, I'd like to see your walls.. I've always wanted vibrant colored walls.. but parents are dead set on whites. Hehe.

Maybe when I get there my dreams of vibrant colored walls will be realized.

But I love my husband's room, he paited it puplish blue... that's how i can best describe it.

He's good at painting walls... we'll see if i learn how to do it too.

Here we pay somebody to do it. It cost a bunch but nobody can paint walls in our family.

OH NO, not changing bedrom, too much time put into it, its perfect. he needs to get use to it, or otherwise there are 3 other bedrooms to choose for HIM, LOL LOL.

Wait scratch that, he will have 2 bedrooms to choose from, LOL one of the bedrooms is filled with Teddy Bears, and a Barbie collection from when I was a child. from the very first Barbie, to the regular Barbies, the celebrity Barbies, all of them. I have about 85 different ones, clothes, cars, houses, etc. That room is Toys R Us Barbie Land, LOL

Glass cases are a pain to dust all the time.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Hi lgg,

haha, that's what I like to figure out.. here's my "quick" story:

Applied I-130/I-129F - April 2007

called USCIS to ask about case - November 2007 (supposedly it should be approved by now)

they say we were under security checks and it got transferred to the local office

wrote lots of letters to senators, congressmen, white house, first lady, 2nd lady, 3rd lady.. all the ladies and gentlemen there

also wrote letter to FBI asking about our security checks (Dec 2007)

had local office interview (Feb 2008) - brought parents too, they asked my parents questions, and officer said everything looks good, and that you will get your approval within 2-3 weeks

February 2008 to May 2008 - nothing

May 2008 - hired lawyers to do lawsuit

July 2008 - lawsuit sent

Sep 2008 - 1st approval

after our consulate interview, they told us the same thing.. she has been on a "name check" (administrative processing)..

I think I know why they are giving us the waiver.. they think she is a liar and that our marriage is a fake.. "misrepresentation" and ineligible to get a visa... if that is so, why the #### would I be calling so much and trying to get her here? Maybe they think I am stupid or something for even trying..

Thanks a lot and I wish you the best in getting this sorted out.

it could be.. haha, that's fine.. I'm not mad at you.. but the thing is they have their "huokubun" and also the China Passport.. it is just like the American Citizens and their SSN numbers.. it is not really hard to look up in the computer and find out who is who.. especially with the FBI.. and they should have really fast computers to do that anyway..

I am getting mad because I see on here and elsewhere who 1) can't support and need others to help them support their husbands/wives.. if you can't support them, why bother getting married at all?? 2) people who have convicted many crimes and they can still come.. 3) people who don't understand any of this process and can't follow the instructions, and yet still get approved somehow..

Hey Gogo..

I hear you. It's starting to get annoying as hell. People with criminal pasts getting in before us, people who've overstayed and just AOS and all that other fun stuff. What's getting up my craw is the people who have filed after us getting approved in 17 days. #######??? I thought they processed files in the order in which they came.

Yeah, yeah, I know... b*tch, b*tch, b*tch... just sayin' is all, really. It's confusing as hell, really.

But I do wish you much luck, Gogo... you've been through the ringer.

It also serves to make me think, oh man, what if I get caught in AP hell or something like that???

I has a scared! ;)

Best of luck to you...

also people who "overstay" and cause more problems for the system, and for people like us.. they still get to adjust their status and stay in this country..
