Oh, I forgot to mention we had to pay another $200 for the vaccinations they didn't do the first time! Personally, I think it should be free since they don't really seem to know what they're doing.

Can you tell, I'm a little annoyed?

RECEIVED WELCOME NOTICE BY US MAIL TODAY!

any news from Shelly n Jay?

Not yet, she wasn't online since the 21st. Hope everything is alright.

Yep. Sincerely wish they are okey..

Now we are just waiting for a card. Good we had an interview at the Garden City Office in NYC, so stamp was put right away. Now we have to get rid of that notice from ssn and driver license and USCIS will be gone for some time.

what notice ?

If he/she entered on a K1 there is a restriction on the SSC saying that its valid with USCIS EAD only. I think that's what the "notice" is referring to.

:)

Is it necessary to remove that line from the SS card? I just received my card after waiting for it since FEBRUARY! I don't wanna go through that trouble again

Very good question... I have no idea :) My wife (the USC) told me that she never had to show her SSC for anything so I guess it doesn't matter. I will anyway, but have no rationale for it :)

Hi Everyone!!

Just wanted to let you all know .... im APPROVED! woop woop!!!

Went for my interview on August 4 - we waited for about 45 minutes til we got called. Then me and hubby were in there for about 45 minutes in total.

It was really not what i expected at all!!! The IO asked us where we met, we said in Sydney Australia a long time ago, he then asked my american hubby what he was doing there. Hubby replied basketball....and then the rest of the conversation for the next 40 minutes was about basketball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

The IO asked us if we happened to bring along some documents to prove our living together - so i gave him our phone bills and bank statements.

And that was it! The only reason why we were in there for that amount of time was because of the basketball talk which was slowing the guy down from ticketing our papers (he was making sure the info on our forms was the same on the computer - he was just ticking everything!).

So that was my experience! I was stressing for nothing!! So GC will be in the mail in 2 weeks, IO also told me i can go for Citizenship in 3 years time.

Im really happy now! Im a Permament Resident! Yay!! :star:

Hey everybody!

Something unexpected today because CRIS didn't send us the email saying "Card Production Ordered"... Well, the GREEN CARD CAME TODAY IN THE MAIL!! I just got back from work, Shannon told me to close my eyes because there was a surprise and... TA-DAAA! There you go! She put the surprise right on my hand!! :D

That is great then! For 1 year and 9 months we wont have to worry about anything.. Papers, forms, money orders, checks to USCIS, photocopies, pictures and all the stuffs we've always been worrying for the past 2 years can sleep for a long while finally!

Guys, this is for everyone who's still struggling to file out papers, who's having trouble to collect money for the huge fees that USCIS wants to process all the papers, who've lost their job and it seems that all the process is gonna get longer and further more to get that piece of plastic that allows us to work, travel in and out and have some more rights.. For who's still waiting for an answer, praying that everything is gonna be alright... IT WILL BE ALRIGHT for you ALL. Keep the faith. We saw pretty hard times but.. Looking back to where we were and looking at ourselves today.. We got the answer that we wanted. Together we are unscarred and we know that we can kick some serious butts. The strength comes from the union of people loving each other and the belief, the spirit.

The luck still has a fundamental part in every single thing, that's why Me and Shannon are wishing you all the best for everything!! :)

God Bless you all fellas ;)

Marco&Shannon

Vip, I'm sure it will go fine. Good luck and congrats to everyone getting good news.

We mailed the updated vaccinations back to the officer. Interestingly, one of the ones she said he needed is the child's version and he had the adult shoot. We got the doc to at least explain it and not leave it blank, but you just don't know. The dr. office also told us they've done at least 500 of these exams and we're the first people to come back with a problem.

I'm hoping we hear something good next week.

Ok so my interview went pretty well!! We got there on time, my layer was already there waiting for us, and within a couple of min we were called in. The IO was very friendly, she looked at all the pics we had and ask for documents proving bonafide marriage (I was a little worried about this because we don't have a lease since we live with my in-laws, but we did have a letter from them stating that we live with them), she also asked for my original birth certificate and police clearances. Other than that she only asked how we met (to my husband) and his birthday (to me). And that was it. The interview took around 25 min total. She took my I-94 and EAD. But thanks to my lawyer she stamped my passport even though she said that i should get my greencard in 2-4 weeks. Needless to say my husband a me a very happy. Thank you guys for all your support and help. And good luck to all that are still waiting. :star:
