Traditionally, Chinese men did not take wives for love. (Which is a horribly modern, Western notion in itself.) For "love" they would take a mistress. Historically, this is pretty much how it's always been - especially among the landed/wealthier classes. The Chinese just tend to be a bit more nuanced about it.

In this thread for example. Obviously, young Chinese women are entirely unable to answer you or speak for themselves. Then when she starts showing some age you can turn her in for a younger model. Kind of like leasing a car.

I guess if someone were fixated on a certain age group he would have to but generally speaking the older a man gets the older his definition of "younger woman" becomes.

Lets say a 45 yr old guy lands a 25 year old wife.

when he is 55 or even 65 his wife is still going to be two decades younger..... which is by any sane persons measurement still a "younger woman".

Now about the twisted mind who feels he is perpetually in need of a, twenty something wife,

no matter his maturity in life, these types I guess are out there but hardly worth considering in the conversation.
