I sent my husband's BC with the initial package as proof of what I included in my I-129F. It showed who my husband was and that I wasn't just ignoring his father because he is not on the BC and I had written UNKNOWN when asked his name/DOB/address.

Also, I had had a copied translated into English while I was in Brazil so it was easy to send it. It was cheaper to do in Brazil and may be to have it translated while in Colombia.

that is quite different than saying almost everyone does it... if you read only the instructions to the form when you prepared your submission, why would you ever include it?

Agreed but even still, the ALMOST is based on what? Almost all VJ members? There are somewhere between 30-50,000 or so I-129F filed each year...

The BC is not required for the petition or at most embassies (we did not have Rin's for the interview). So if you don't have the BC, don't let it delay you from filing the I-129F. The consulate will accept documents in the local language, so no need for the translation there. You will need the BC and a translation to English when you file for AOS.

It is simply not needed and not required by the instructions. I wouldn't even include it.

everytime you send anything to uscis that is not in english it has to be with a notarized translation that's how my lawer said is should be.. its better to send it the right way then send it wong and delay ur applications
