We love each others parents. Sometimes when I call my parents they only want to speak to him and vice versa.

I guess we lucked out too :)

Best in-laws ever. And that includes sister-in-law, little brother-in-law, cousins-in-law, and aunt/uncle-in-law. His grandmother is a lovely woman, but my German and her English are rudimentary at best so our conversations take place with much hand expressions! I also get along well with his friends.

Both my parents are deceased, but P gets along famously with my siblings, my niece, all my friends, and of course my kids :)

We either 'lucked out' which I don't really believe in, or we just have amazing families!

Hard to believe it isn't luck when you are sitting on the otherside of the fence. :P I mean, I had no idea who his parents were before I could actually speak to them in true, meaningful, and deep conversation and by then I was already married to their son.

Love my MIL and FIL, except I can communicate more with my FIL because he speaks Spanish fluently. Communication with my MIL is not totally the way I would like it to be. They are both great though

FIL deceased. MIL and I don't speak the same language, literally. :(

Same here...I have learned some phrases so I can say hello to her over the computer mic now and that makes her happy. I haven't had a chance to be around my in laws, but I love them even with all our differences. I don't think I could ever hate an in-law since I hardly ever hate anyone. Dislike is one thing, but I think hate is more extreme. I am sure they'd drive me crazy on certain things if I was around them all the time, but we have had a unique experience over the years which have made the situation something that was wished for, not just granted automatically. It's been a long journey and it's still not over until I go to India this spring to meet them finally in person.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I am excited now. I used to be more nervous but I have gotten to know them better over the internet on mic over the past months. I think they feel like they know me better, so that makes me less nervous. It's less formal feeling and more friendly. :)

Sweet! How long are you staying over there? I hope long enough to pick a few more things up from the language, even if it is just simple nouns or commands. I bet they can't wait to see Kavi. :)

My in-laws haven't seen their granddaughter in 21 months. My daughter wasn't even walking when we left and now she will run you over. My MIL might explode soon from excitement.
